We came to Norway from New York for a family trip across country from Oslo to Bergen in April 2023 and we had booked in for a night at Tuddal Høyfjellshotel to break up the drive. It was our first trip to Norway and had no idea that we were going to have one of the absolute best experiences of the entire trip together there. The place is simply beautiful. The people there are incredibly attentive and helpful. The food at dinner and breakfast is world class. The location is stunning. As a personal side note to the owners: My father came to the U.S. from Kongsberg when he was in his very early 20’s and started his new life and family. Growing up in Southern California where my brother and I were exposed to a lot of the antique Scandinavian items, colors, and style. My father was a committed collector at flea markets and swap meets everywhere, and anytime he came across an old collectible related to his homeland, he would proudly bring it home and share the story of it with us, and then find a place to display it in their home. When we came into the main building to check in to our rooms, I told my 17 and 20 year old daughters, “this…this is the story your Grandfather was trying tell us with all those things”.

Tollboden Hotell - Unike Hoteller er með garð, sameiginlega setustofu, verönd og veitingastað í Kragerø. Gististaðurinn er reyklaus og er 700 metra frá Gunnarsholmen-ströndinni. Staff were so friendly! The orchard was great, fresh plums and apples. Very unique! Full of history! Yummy bfast. Super comfy beds! My elderly parents were given a better room where the bed wasn't so low to the ground. Thank you,

Lifjellstua er með garð, sameiginlega setustofu, verönd og veitingastað í Lifjell. Gististaðurinn er með bar og er staðsettur í innan við 10 km fjarlægð frá Bø Summerland. Visited during a motorbike roadtrip during summer, great location op top of a hill, good view from the room, nice food, very friendly personnel. OK bed, shower and toilet in the hallway, very clean and well maintained. Goid money/value ratio.

Hotell Fritidsparken er staðsett í Skien Leisure Park, 3 km frá miðbæ Skien, og býður upp á miða í vatnagarð innandyra og heilsulind/vellíðunaraðstöðu. It was wonderful for traveling with kids, lots of little parks around and very comfortable.

Loved the décor of this property and would like to extend our stay but the hotel was fully booked for the following day. sadly we had to leave. Renovated room, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Great shower and amenities. Front desk gentleman was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Decent wifi speed. Fancy dinner at the restaurant. one of the best hotels we stayed in Norway and would definitely return in the future.

Originally built in 1894, Dalen Hotel is situated close to the peaceful shores of the Telemark Canal and Lake Bandak. It offers free WiFi internet and free private parking. All the staff from front desk to restaurant were exceptional. Special praise for Joao and Lorenzo . We learned so much about wine and cocktails from them.

Deep in the heart of the scenic Langesund archipelago lies this unique hotel, which is beautifully situated by the sea and offers a multitude of recreational activities. Good location, beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the pool. Everything looks cozy. We had deliciuos dinner!
