Set in Tuddal, 12 km from Gaustatoppen, Tuddal Høyfjellshotel offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We came to Norway from New York for a family trip across country from Oslo to Bergen in April 2023 and we had booked in for a night at Tuddal Høyfjellshotel to break up the drive. It was our first trip to Norway and had no idea that we were going to have one of the absolute best experiences of the entire trip together there. The place is simply beautiful. The people there are incredibly attentive and helpful. The food at dinner and breakfast is world class. The location is stunning. As a personal side note to the owners: My father came to the U.S. from Kongsberg when he was in his very early 20’s and started his new life and family. Growing up in Southern California where my brother and I were exposed to a lot of the antique Scandinavian items, colors, and style. My father was a committed collector at flea markets and swap meets everywhere, and anytime he came across an old collectible related to his homeland, he would proudly bring it home and share the story of it with us, and then find a place to display it in their home. When we came into the main building to check in to our rooms, I told my 17 and 20 year old daughters, “this…this is the story your Grandfather was trying tell us with all those things”.

Tollboden Hotell - Unike Hoteller features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Kragerø. The property is non-smoking and is set 700 metres from Gunnarsholmen Beach. Staff were so friendly! The orchard was great, fresh plums and apples. Very unique! Full of history! Yummy bfast. Super comfy beds! My elderly parents were given a better room where the bed wasn't so low to the ground. Thank you,

Lifjellstua has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Lifjell. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 10 km of Bø Summerland. Visited during a motorbike roadtrip during summer, great location op top of a hill, good view from the room, nice food, very friendly personnel. OK bed, shower and toilet in the hallway, very clean and well maintained. Goid money/value ratio.

Offering affordable tickets to an indoor water park and spa/wellness centre, Hotell Fritidsparken is located in Skien Leisure Park, 3 km from central Skien. It was wonderful for traveling with kids, lots of little parks around and very comfortable.

On a wooded hillside in Morgedal, this hotel offers an indoor swimming pool in the heart of Telemark. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and the neighbouring ski slalom. Loved the décor of this property and would like to extend our stay but the hotel was fully booked for the following day. sadly we had to leave. Renovated room, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Great shower and amenities. Front desk gentleman was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Decent wifi speed. Fancy dinner at the restaurant. one of the best hotels we stayed in Norway and would definitely return in the future.

Situated on Lake Vågslidvatn, this hotel is 4 km away from Haukelifjell Ski Centre. It offers free WiFi and accommodation with scenic views. fantastic view and very nice staff. It really exeeded my expectations

Originally built in 1894, Dalen Hotel is situated close to the peaceful shores of the Telemark Canal and Lake Bandak. It offers free WiFi internet and free private parking. All the staff from front desk to restaurant were exceptional. Special praise for Joao and Lorenzo . We learned so much about wine and cocktails from them.

Deep in the heart of the scenic Langesund archipelago lies this unique hotel, which is beautifully situated by the sea and offers a multitude of recreational activities. Good location, beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the pool. Everything looks cozy. We had deliciuos dinner!
