BrimiBue Hotel is located in Lom, 400 metres from Lom stave church, and provides free WiFi throughout the property. We stopped here on a drive from Oslo to Ulsteinvik on the coast. The location is perfect to break your journey and the town is charming. The rooms were fabulous — Scandinavian chique — and the kids loved the upper loft area where they slept. The hotel staff was fantastic and were super accommodating. We arrived late and called in advance asking if we could still eat in their award winning restaurant. While we couldn’t have the standard 5 course menu, they kept aside main course and dessert for us. The meal was the best we had in the trip and the service and hospitality was outstanding!

The owners (Marco and his son) are very sweet and do everything to give you a super holiday. Their food is delicious with fresh ingredients. When you take your dogs you can easily walk with them unlashed around the corner of the compound along the river. There is also a challenging climb towards the top of a small mountain where you can find moose if lucky. It is a good starting point to explore the stunning Valdresflye road and Jotunheimen area. For children there is a trampo and small playground at the compound.
