This former farm is in picturesque Lom, close to Jotunheim National Park. It offers traditional Norwegian food, Galdhøpiggen Mountain views and excellent hiking opportunities. The area in which the hotel is located is nothing short of idyllic. Waterfalls, a beautiful river and mountains all around. The food was perfect and the people very friendly. Alltogether a peaceful place with lots of opportunites for hiking and other activities.

This family-run design hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from Beitostølen Ski Resort. It offers a personal touch, hearty food and themed rooms in a traditional, Norwegian timber house. Everything! Kees is a fabulous chef and Tim was a terrific host. The place is simply lovely, comfortable, and elegantly styled. We couldn’t think of anything we’d change.

Villa Fregn features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Ljørdal. The accommodation features ski storage space, as well as a bar and barbecue facilities. Bart and Ellen were exceptionally hospitable and accommodating to our every need. It was a personal experience here - you could really feel their passion for what they are creating at this very special place. We really enjoyed getting to know Bart and Ellen a little bit - we were inspired by Bart’s travel adventures in particular. We travelled with 3 kids, who had an equally grand time. We did an ATV tour with Bart, which was a highlight. The food was lovely, and our cabin was clean, welcoming and comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to Villa Fregn again.

Set in a late 1800s wooden building, this countryside hotel is in Hindseter, 60 km from Otta. The hotel restaurant serves Nordic cuisine with local produce. The hotel is stunningly situated. The suites at the hotel are beautiful with lots of local and historical details. The lounge area with large windows facing the valley is great for chilling out with a local beer in the evening. We only had a short stay but we’re spoilt for choice on the number of hikes from the hotel- they were all well sign posted and we got good advice from reception. Breakfast was in the lovely historic dining room and used local produce. The whole place is very friendly and full of character. Can’t wait to go back!

The location and the view were excellent. Staff are amazing. Room was good size and comfy. Food quality and sustainability practices were good.

The front desk staff (or owner) was exceptionally welcoming and friendly, happily accommodating our request for a quiet room on the top floor. The breakfast buffet was a nice inclusion. Although the double room was small, it was very clean and well-equipped with a kettle, mini fridge, and complimentary tea and coffee. Plus, the best Thai restaurant is conveniently located just across the street.
