The focus on ecological practices without sacrificing comfort truly set Villa Fregn apart. Also, we had the best sleep we've ever had in a hotel—so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave! We wholeheartedly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone looking for a unique getaway. We can't wait to return with our friends and family. Hindsæter features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Hindseter. The hotel is stunningly situated. The suites at the hotel are beautiful with lots of local and historical details. The lounge area with large windows facing the valley is great for chilling out with a local beer in the evening. We only had a short stay but we’re spoilt for choice on the number of hikes from the hotel- they were all well sign posted and we got good advice from reception. Breakfast was in the lovely historic dining room and used local produce. The whole place is very friendly and full of character. Can’t wait to go back!

Although the double room was small, it was very clean and well-equipped with a kettle, mini fridge, and complimentary tea and coffee. Plus, the best Thai restaurant is conveniently located just across the street.
