Facing the beachfront, Hardangerfjord Hotel offers 4-star accommodation in Øystese and has a garden, terrace and restaurant. Guests can make use of a bar. The view from the hotel was spectacular. It was a quick and easy drive to Nordheimsund, which is where many tours take off. Like many other hotels in Norway, there is a wide and excellent selection for breakfast. Something for everyone. We had to leave earlier on our final morning before the start of breakfast but they had everything set out for us to self-serve. The restaurant was delicious but a bit pricey. This is typical of Norway, however. The pool at the connecting sports facility was convenient and fun.

A very special experience. Very old buildings with modernised bathrooms and interior. Very good food. Superfriendly hosts. We have stayed here twice and will come back.
