I was in Heerlen but Limburg the southern provence itself is very nice. The people are very warm in general there is much nature and good to know for tourists: In the summer it's usually always better weather over here then in Amsterdam or Rotterdam.
My family is originally from Heerlen, came to Australia to live age 14, was great to go back to Heerlen there is so much history I wasn't aware of I learned a lot about my own roots . Beautiful Limburg! It's modern historic relaxing and a very friendly people - will go back next year .

City center does not look good. If you want to see good scenes, ride bus line 57 and enjoy Limburg!
Limburg region is nice. Nothe much to do in Vaals, so you have to move and go to other places.
Very good restaurants in the center of Venlo. The center of Venlo it self is also very nice aspecially the townhall. There are a lot of shops and Het Limburg museum In the nabourhood are "De Kasteeltuinen" in Arcen (and......an icecream-restaurant called Cleevers)
Venlo is a quaint town in the middle of Limburg along the river Maas. It has a lot of nice surrounding villages which makes it perfect for hiking and picturesque biking. The town center is very lively with a very nice town square and city hall. It is also good for shopping. Good food options are the Aubergine (in a suburb called Tegelen), Alde Mert and Chez Philippe. There is plenty to do for kids as well. There is a big outdoor play area at Klein Zwitserland and a huge indoor one at Ballorig as well.
The hotel is located right in the city center, on the bank of the Geul river, and the view from the room window is superb. The room is large, bright, with all facilities. Varied breakfast, for all tastes. And the town is quite atypical for the Netherlands: it is located between hills, crossed by a fast river, and there is even a chairlift. It is a good base for day trips to South Limburg, Maastricht, Aachen and even Liege

We stayed in a really nice apartment with super cosy atmosphere. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The owners did everything for us to feel comfortable and solved in no time a little problem we had. South Limburg is my favourite place from the country, we keep coming back! Thank you for having us and being part of a nice Christmas experience!
The location was great, very close to the centre of Maastricht. The building itself is stunning, the room was beautiful with the stained glass window and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. As we were there to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday, the hotel gave us a small Limburgse vlaai which we thought was very nice.
We had never been to Limburg and it is beautiful there! Check in was easy, and although there wasn't a wheelchair accessible room available, the room we had was fine. Since we were there for only 1 night, an accessible shower was not necessary. Had we stayed longer, the staff would have moved us when an accessible room became available.
Great place, close to train station. Hotel had lots of bikers training for race on April 15th. Limburg has hills. Great bus ride via de Bemmeler road back to Maastrict. Lots of campings by farmers, home stay, tiny hotels in a rolling green countyside Got plenty of towels and even new sheets on the 3rd night.

The hotel is amazing. You really feel in a small castle. The landscape is beautiful. The internal settings are modern and updated. Rooms very comfortable. Staff super friendly. We took advantage of the lower rate out of season. But be aware that the restaurant is so amazing that you will probably spend more there than in the room fee, like we did. Overall a surprisingly good experience.

Have stayed here several times, as always everything is great, cozy, clean and comfortable. Convenient that individual parking right next to the house. Especially cozy to sit by the wood fireplace on the first floor. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need.
