This is a lovely B&B that we would recommend to everyone, and we definitely see ourselves coming back.

Het Weeshuis is located in the city center of 'Hanzestad' Bolsward and offers accommodations set in a monumental building and former orphanage. Every day we had a beautiful breakfast set up for us in the main gathering room - delicious cheese, breads, pastries, soft boiled egg, fresh juices and coffee/tea. The room was large and the bed was without question like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom had a very nice shower - large towels. The history and architecture add to it's charm. The staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating. We will stay here every time we visit.

Leeuwarden is capital of the province of Friesland and it is a really nice city. In earlier times it was attached to the House of Orange. It has some very nice buildings, among them the former post office, Post Plaza, tweebaksmarkt 27, which is a very fine and large restaurant nowadays, annex hotel. At Druifstreek 57-59 you will find Restaurant ‘Het Leven’ where you can have an excellent diner at a reasonable price.
Gorredijk lies in the Dutch province, Friesland. The region has a beautiful, flat, traditional landscape, with great places to bicycle and hike. The city of Drachten is just a few minutes away.
We enjoyed our stay here very much - the room was comfy, location couldn't be better and breakfast was fantastic. The thing that made our stay very special was a brilliant member of the team who was on night duty on our first night. He took the time to speak to us in detail about the history of the hotel and about Leeuwarden and Friesland, which was so interesting, and he really made our trip to Leeuwarden. A credit to the hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay in wintery Friesland. Cute and cozy little hotel with great breakfast every morning. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Extra long beds are a plus. Burdaard is a quiet little place from where you can start your explorations in no time. Would definitely recommend it posthus and hopefully come back some time. Thank you for the great time, we will happily think back to it :)

If I could give this hostel 15 out of 10 I would, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Impeccably clean, fantastic facilities and run by a very helpful friendly team. The prison is an unusual location for a hostel, which is what intrigued us in the first place and the whole experience was very enjoyable.. If you are travelling in Friesland, this accommodation is a must. I would make a detour just to stay there.
The staff! Always helpful and with a smile on their faces! Wow what a great advertisement for Friesland...Brabant hotels should come here to train ;). The breakfast was excellent, best cooked eggs. The room was large and clean and had a bath. Hotel was lovely and quiet.

Situated in a quiet but busy part of Friesland. A great overnight hotel if you are on a road trip. Clean and welcoming, good sized car park, rooms are so clean, you feel like you are the first person to stay in that room. Beds are wonderful.
We had a very nice stay in the apartment. The apartment is nicely located to visit Friesland. The view at Sneeker Meer was really great. We got a crib and a high chair with no additional charge.

The hotel is located right on the sand dunes facing both the beach and the forest behind. Facilities including the rooms are recently updated. There are still some indications that this hotel has been here for a long time entertaining beachside holiday makers, but that in my opinion adds to its charm. Staff were very friendly. Pool and wellness areas were very nice additions especially on a rainy winters day. The sauna's were really large, with plenty of room to soak up the heat.
I loved everything! We were upgraded to a studio room which was beautiful and very modern. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options. We could park our electric bikes at the back of the hotel, where a specific bike parking was. It was close to downtown Nes. When we checked out it was no issue to store our luggage for the rest of the day.

This place is a Gem. Not really in the city center and behind outdoor activity places so you didn't expect much but the hotel was great. New and relatively modern and right on the beach. The room was fine, the breakfast had a super selection. And I I felt for the first time on our trip that the price was right. - I can also recommend the restaurant right across the way. - The food was really tasty.
