Hotel Lara's Planet mempunyai taman, teres, restoran dan bar di El Castillo de La Concepción. We loved this hotel. Natasha was an angel.Her staff were friendly and helpful. Her rooms were huge, airy, clean, and comfortable. The balcony was a great place for watching the sunset. Breakfast consisted of lots of fruit, eggs, toast, and delicious rice pancakes. Natasha went out of her way to help organize our journey back to Leon. ❤️

Ask her to organise Orlando as your guide (we saw more wildlife in 2 hours than over multiple days in other jungle lodges) and get Jose to expertly drive your boat.

Ecolodge Luna del Rio is located in the city centre of El Castillo de La Concepción, 5 km from Indio Maíz Nature Reserve. It features free breakfast, a garden and a bar. We were greeted at the port on our arrival and walked the short distance to the hotel. The hotel is situated in the center of the main walkway through town. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river. It was lovely to return to an air-conditioned room each day. Margarita and Manuel were exceptional hosts, willing to dispense advise and information about the area, and taking time to chat with us. Manuel organized tours into Indio Maiz and also night tours. They made arrangements with a local woman to prepare our dinners and delivered it to us at the hotel. When we both got sick with traveller's stomach, they looked out for us and arranged for supplies to be delivered to us. I highly recommend this location for your visit to El Castillo!

We stayed for two nights, once after arriving on the bus from Managua and then again when returning on the boat from El Castillo. It is in the perfect location for the bus terminal and boat port (2 minute walk). The rooms are basic but clean. Great value for money.

We spent 2 weeks at the Posada Oasis and truly enjoyed every second of it. Absolutely marvelous place, a true idyllic Oasis. Located in a beautiful huge garden, full of splendid flowers, fruit trees and tropical plants. Our hosts, Alba and Oscar, were simply wonderful. They kept showing us interesting animals and plants in the garden, treated to some delicious local fruit and even invited us to plant 2 trees :) We had some nice interesting talks with both of them, they were very helpful, considerate and caring at all times, from the moment we arrived till seeing us off to the bus. Thank you so much for everything!!!± Their daughter Carla, sons and grandsons helped around the property too and were always extremely accommodating and nice. There was a perfect balance of providing guests with privacy and being close enough at all times to assist if needed. A local shop is around 10 minutes walk. We cooked our meals in a lovely shared outdoor kitchen, very well equipped. Strong 2 fans in the room, very comfortable bed, nice bathroom with big shower. Regular housekeeping. Amazing hammock on each porch, I could spend hours in there, just chilling and admiring the beautiful garden and numerous hummingbirds and butterflies. Lack of multiple lights = wonderful night sky, we saw Milky Way and ridiculous amount of stars.

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Hotel de Campo is located in Caño Negro Wildlife Reserve in Alajuela. Free WiFi access is available in this property in limited areas. Perfect location for birdwatching and exploring the area. Casual, comfortable and quiet, other than the incredible number of birds around the property. Andreas was an excellent host and communication with him was seemless right from the minute we booked. The food at the onsite restaurant was superb. Home cooked feel with lots of local ingredients and tastes. Loved it. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved this property. Cano Negro is less visited by tourists and the surrounding community was very friendly. The property has everything you need and the food was delicious - the owners are a lovely family and the staff truly cared about us and wanted us to have a great time Definitely recommend the bird watching boat tour, it was one of the highlights of our trip. We booked both the AM and PM boat trips are they visit different parts of the river, we saw so much wildlife despite visiting when the water level was peak high

We had an incredible stay at this wonderful family hotel. The surroundings are beautiful and very close to the large wetlands. There was a laguna only a few meters down form our room where we also spotted many species of bird. By taking a boat up the river you can see even more varieties of birds, caimans, and turtles. Cano Negro is one of our favorite places to visit in all of Central America due to its beautiful nature and diversity of birds. We will definitely come back in the future! Noteworthy, the family also offer dinner which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
