The owner and his wife are so friendly and helpful- nothing was too much trouble. They gave us advice on places to go and eat. The gardens are gorgeous- they grow their own fruits, we even saw a hummingbird! All the staff are extremely friendly. The pool is fabulous to relax around and everywhere is scrupulously clean. A little walk into town- but we felt totally safe and it gave a real insight into how the locals lived- they couldn’t have been friendlier. Come in Brits- visit Nicaragua. It’s beautiful and has everything for a great holiday at superb prices. And stay at this hotel.

Hotel il Padrino is situated in a commercial zone in Granada, only 200 metres from an area with various bars and restaurants. It also offers massage services for a fee and a shared lounge area. Room was wonderful, slept with the doors open, nice breeze, no bugs, and pleasant temperature. Location was great, like three blocks from the main street, easy walk to food, drinks and shopping. Our host was super helpful, she pointed us to the best food in the city and arranged for taxis to Volcano Mombacho and the airport. Las Mujares en la cocina were fantastic! Thanks for a great stay!
