Hôtel le Postillon is a small family hotel located 1 minute from the center of Echternach, in the Mullerthal region and close to the German border. An amazing stay. We were welcomed warmly by the host. She gave us a warm and most generous welcome with a treat, knowing we were celebrating our anniversary. The hotel is tastefully furnished with quality fittings, the room and beds were spacious and very comfortable. The shower was powerful enough and nice. Breakfast was substantial and gave us always a great start to the day. You can see the host takes pride in all she does, from breakfast to our good night’s rest. We arrived by bus and the hotel is located conveniently and was easy to locate, within a short walking distance in a serene yet central area. Oh and the host gave us a recommendation to a wonderful restaurant just nearby. It was everything she told us it was. All in all, an amazing stay that felt like our home away from home!

Located in Scheidgen, 18 miles from Vianden Chairlift, Hotel de la Station provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. 3 minutes walk from the trail. Warm, well-preserved 70s deco. The room was very clean and not noisy, even though facing the road. Extra point for a nice mirror and light in the toilet for the makeup. We had a nice little balcony. Excellent breakfast and they let you fill your water bottle there as well. Dinner was delicious in southern European style, and the wine was quite good. Extremely lovely and polite staff, particularly the receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. This place was better than I expected from the reviews.

The village itself has nothing to see, but is very close to Echternach town, and on the other hand, to the nature and hiking tracks and Mullertal region.
Very nice place for hiking, getting away from civilization. Close to Echternach, where they have great festival of classical music. Near wonderful kayaking station -- always fun for kids.
Echternach is a great city to explore the hiking trails. There are plenty of buses hikers can take to start out their journey exploring the many different hiking paths. A person could start out in one city and hike to the next city. People could also hike to one city and then take the bus back to the same starting point. If I had know more about the wonderful hiking trails in this location, I would have wanted to hike for several days going from one hiking path to the next with my backpack. In addition to the array of opportunities for hiking, there are also two wonderful WWII museums located in Ettelbrück and in Diekirch, Luxemburg.
The location in Luxembourg was serene and charming. We enjoyed a lovely walk from the hotel into the wooded creek-side Petite Suisse and used a free bus to take us back to our hotel. We were greeted by very friendly staff. The added dinner and breakfast were delicious more than adequate. We enjoyed time relaxing in the lounge afterwards. It was a really lovely place to explore Echternach and Luxembourge countryside.
Very good location! Very good service, nice people! Delicious food! we had two evening dinners in the hotel. It is in the center of Mullerthal Trail, it is quite convenient to the walking routes. we walked E1 from Berdorf to Echternach, very exciting and we took bus for free from Echtenach back to hotel. The next day we drove to Schiessentumpel waterfall. It is quite near from the hotel (9.3km). Beautiful scenery!

We had a fabulous stay at the hotel. The room was cozy, the staff very friendly and welcoming (we got sandwiches to go for our hike without even asking). In the morning and evening, we enjoyed our stay on the little and quiet terrace. From a location perspective, it is great starting point for Mullerthal Trail Route 2 and very close to Echternach, the starting point for Mullerthal Trail Route 1.
The price is very decent compared to Luxembourg. The hotel is located in the heart of Mullerthal, you can do at least 4 longer hikes nearby just starting from foot. Ideal for Mullerthal hikings. Bus connection is not an issue during the work week either to the city or Echternach. The rooms are exactly as described and clean upon arrival, regardless that there is only one room cleaning per week.

great hosts - Paul & Julie were the nicest and most accomodating hosts. went our of their way to meet all our needs. location - out in the countryside a couple miles outside Echternach - very quiet...easy to get to anywhere in Luxembourg parking - plenty of space bed - very comfortable cleanliness - exceptional
Food in the restaurant is really excellent! Dinner is a real treat. The team work really hard to do a great job - they were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Great location for hiking - you can join the E1 Trail at the front of the hotel and walk down the trail into Echternach.
Played the Echternach Open chess tournament. Had a nice dinner at the hotel's restaurant, a good sleep and returned to the tournament next morning. So really just a short stay, but to our full satisfaction.

Great apartment with all needed amenities, located very close to the most famous trails and hiking routes. Quiet location, also close to Echternach where you can easily find a place for food or drinks.
Clean Hotel. Lots of space in the room and bathroom. Large choice for breakfast with stunning view on Echternach city. Pool and sauna/hammam facilities are great, clean.

I have stayed here before 11 years ago It is one of the most beautiful villages in north Luxembourg in the Petit Suisse & Mullerthal area with a wonder old castle Amazing walks & nature in the forest The cafe restaurant is cosy with great food & very friendly staff Patrick the owner is so friendly & helpful There is a local buses that go in to Luxembourg City each hour & public transport is free I will definitely go back & stay there
Great location for walking in Mullerthal region, also reachable with public transport (from airport/Luxembourg city). There are also good bus connections to other cities. Tasty breakfast. Room+bathroom are very big and spacious. Would love to stay there for longer time.
