This fantastic hotel is set in the middle of nature. If you like seeing and hearing birds, then this place is great, with over 25 species in 1 night stay. The room was large, the linens were high quality, and it was all very clean. We had a kettle for making coffee, good AC, and fan. We had a room with a great view over the garden towards the lake. The owner, Chandana, was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is very well decorated and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting to watch the wildlife at sunset on the bench provided. The garden is also a haven for wildlife and has a lot of interesting trees. He provided us with the best Sri Lankan breakfast we have had in a month. It was outstanding, with some of it made by his wife. Him and his staff member were very kind to help us change the wheel on our tuktuk, too. A wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a halfway point between Kandy and Negombo

Birds Park Polgahawela in Egalla has 3-star accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar. We went there to enjoy our vacation, and the room was incredibly spacious with very comfortable beds. The location was brilliant for relaxation. The staff, especially Nalin, took great care of us, providing everything we needed for a nice stay. The manager, Nuwan, was also fantastic, ensuring our complete satisfaction. I definitely recommend this place, and we will certainly visit again on our next trip to Sri Lanka.
