One of the best countries I have visited. Breathtaking views, scenary. Skiing in the morning and swimming or tanning on the beach in the afternoon. From snow to sea in just 30minutes. So many things to see and do. Visit Byblos, Baalbeck, Mount Lebanon, Faraya, Jounieh teleferique cable cars. Beirut is amazing for the nightlife, restaurants, bars. Mar Mikhail bars. Volume, White, 360 for bars/clubbing. Beach parties. Pool parties in the summer. Stylish and friendly people. Amazing food. Must try Knefe dessert from Sea Sweet. Babel restaurant Zaitunay bay. Man'oushe with Zataar and cheese. Everything actually. And it's a safe country!
Beirut is a very nice city with a lot to see specially in mount Lebanon, people are nice and hospital but traffic is night mare, a bit expensive though the best town to see and stay in is by enlarge "Jbeil = Byblos"
A city that is truly unique. Mixes everything you like about western cultures with everything you love about eastern cultures. The Lebanese are the kindest and friendliest people on the planet. Geography is amazing. It can be like 18 degrees in Hamra and then 8 degrees in the mountains. Best food anywhere in the Arab world. If you like coffee, the espressos from Baqalas are the best and will raise your expectations to very high levels. Places to really see are Jounieh, Bint Jubail, Byblos, Kufrayah and Beqaa Valley, Mount Lebanon. Rent a car. Do not use taxis (ripoff). If you drive don't bitch about how aggressive Lebanese driving is, flow with it, but stay clear of taxis as they stop suddenly. If you cannot drive in Lebanon, don't go there. This is a country that is still truly pure and free, and very free. Flow with it! Bring a MiFi along and get one data SIM (60 GB for 10 days, but stay away from SnapChat) and one voice line. Good tips are 5000 to 10000 lira. Expect to spend around $200 a day exclusive of hotel charges if you dine out a lot, but its worth it. Local produce is amazing. Get used to paying in dollars and getting Lebanese Lira back or vica versa! Every $10 is LL 15,000.
Beautiful city in the mountains. It is also surrounded but beautiful sceneries in Mount Lebanon. During winter it is covered with snow, and their Christmas decorations are beautiful.
This is our second time in Bkerzay, we love the place! nested in the middle of lush green mountains of mount Lebanon, the traditional rooms with small terraces, the restaurant with a view, and the wonderful pool in the middle of pine trees makes for the perfect nature escape one could hope for. The morning hike in the neighboring area is a must! and don’t forget to visit the pottery shop for some unique souvenirs
