Situated in Shirahama, within 200 metres of Ezura Beach and 800 metres of Rinkaiura Beach, QUAYTH l キース features accommodation with a restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free... So much space for the price. It’s right in front of the beach for an amazing view. The host was super accommodating. He helped me make restaurant reservations (which you 100% need as restaurants fill up quick), gave me recommendations for what to do on the island and he even provided a bike so I can travel the island in a unique way. After visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, this hotel was the perfect place to recharge from the chaos of the city. I can’t recommend it enough.

Prices are reasonable. I hardly find a Japanese style TATAMI room for single person anywhere else inJapan. Some rooms haven’t a shower but you can use ONSEN ( hot springs). The ROTEN BURO ( outside hot springs) is cosy but beautiful. They provide japanese wears after having a hot spring. Hotel Staff provided great service.

Located in Katsuragi, 27 km from Kishi Station, Sanso Amanosato provides accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a bar. This was an exceptional property in every way. Though the rooms are European style, the singular cabins, the passage ways, the main building, all have a very Japanese architectural feel. This is located about 20km from Koyasan, and sits among rice paddies just a bike ride from a local shrine. It gives you the chance to glide along on deserted roads and happen upon a major pilgramage shrine along the Kumano Kodo. The Kaiseki meal was superb, with about 10 courses of sublime cooking and service of the highest order. The staff may have been a little nervous as we don't speak Japanese, but they fared well. The presentation was, as is the Japanese way, giving a nod to the autumn season with fall flowers and leaves presenting the food as art. The Onsen were private so that couples can enjoy with eachother, three possibilities were available, with small gardens outside each. Our suite also had a huge round tub to enjoy as well. The bathroom was of exceptional design. We had a hedge of blooming flowers outside the porch doors where beautiful and unusual butterflies were feeding.

A 1-minute walk from Wakayama Castle, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Wakayama features Western-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi, and 6 restaurants. Excellent breakfast with plenty of variety. The castle view was amazing. The location was great since we could not get lost. Early checkin was 2:00 pm and late checkout was 11:00 am, far better than other places we stayed at during our 3 week vacation in Japan.

Very nice that it was inside the hotel. There were freebies like ice cream, chocobar, soup for supper, 24 hours coffee, free Landry machine etc. Very polite staff as everywhere in Japan. It is near the central bazar and bus and train stops.
