If you love a lovely atmosphere reminiscent of Studio Ghibli films, Hayashima is your city, and this traditional guesthouse feels like a fairy tale. It's an absolutely amazing place. You can relax in the main room, enjoying a drink or a meal while taking in the view of a traditional Japanese garden filled with birds and dragonflies. The garden and quiet environment are wonderful. The town is small and cozy, making it a perfect base, just a few stops away from Okayama. The guesthouse owner is incredibly kind and helpful.

Central Hotel is located within easy walking distance of Okayama station, along the city's canal walk and opposite a pleasant park, overlooked by the majority of the rooms. The area is really pleasant and that carries forward to the staff (who were very professional and pleasant) and the hotel itself. The style is modern, the rooms clean and well furnished with a practical, relatively spacious layout. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast option, but everything I did experience was top notch!

The property has private rooms and actual guesthouse style dorms. There are only two parking spaces, but there are many parking lots nearby. You are also a short walk to the station and honestly any other major spot in Okayama. The staff member was absolutely lovely. She was a sweet and smart young lady who was always readily available to help us with anything we had questions about! You can also contact this hotel via LINE. They respond quickly.

Location - near to the Okayama train station and the main shopping area, including a massive Aeon Mall. Food and beverages - breakfast was a tasty spread of Japanese and Western food. There's also a self-service welcome drink bar, where you can mix your own cocktails. Facilities - the onsen was great, though a little small. The self-service amenities bar was well stocked and provided a lot of useful creams and lotions.

The breakfast was amazing and the spa area was also nice. The staff was exceptional. In all, I’m surprised this hotel is not 4 stars since I’ve been in way worse 4-star hotels in Europe and I would say this was still better than the 4-star hotels I got to know in Japan. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want to check the nearby Bikan district or even if you planned to go to Okayama city center.

Bed was clean with crisp white sheets and pillow case. It was very wide and the lower bunk bed had a high "ceiling" so it didn't feel cramped at all. Toilets and bathrooms were clean and convenient. Security lock on room door and main door made me feel very safe. The lounge was lively and has a cool vibe. Location was not far from Okayama Station. Overall, good value for money.

Good value, helpful staff and decent breakfast. Hotel is in a convenient location next to Okayama train station. Taxi to Okayama Castle and its gardens took us only about 20 min and $10. Hotel didn’t mind to keep our luggage after checkout for the whole day. We checked out early morning and came to collect our luggage at 8pm. We stayed only one night, but would happily come back.

Really cozy! Two floors of Japanese style apartment which is just 15 min walk away from Okayama station. Equipped with kitchen equipment and BBQ stuffs that we can cook and enjoy the meal. The check in time is set up at 18:00 but the host arranged to 15:30 since we’ve asked a head! Which is really helpful because my parents need to rest then. We have a good time during the stay.

The most beautiful, quiet Japanese house for first time travellers! Facilities were great and location was absolutely amazing. There are plenty of cafes and local stores (ceramic stores) surrounding hotel which was awesome for exploring. Although it is out of Okayama, staying in Kurashiki was much better to get away from busy crowds. Highly recommended, worth the money!!

Check-in was done by very friendly staff and not by a self-service machine! Our room was comfortable and reasonably spacious. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice including many meat-free options. It is a few minutes walk from shops, bars, restaurants and Okayama Station. Koraku Hotel is very convenient and we would certainly stay here again.

A number of staff spoke excellent English, the best we found on our three week trip. Next door to an excellent Japanese/French bakery which opened at 8am. On the Nishgawa canal which is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Walking distance from Koraku-en Garden and Okayama Castle, both worth visiting.

Rooms are modern and extremely comfortable, if small. The moderate twin was difficult to have 2 suitcases open at once. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Kurashiki old town and taking day trip to Okayama. Restaurant offers traditional Japanese cuisine which is very tasty.

The simple room that is nonetheless very nice. Also relatively good distance from Okayama station and accessible by bus. Everything is straightforward. I didn't realize English usage is limited for this hotel. This is fine because front desk is very nice and my Japanese helped.

It's private house in a very quiet neighborhood about 850m from the West Exit of Okayama Station. There's a modern Japanese bathtub. There's no convenience store around so you might want to do the grocery shopping say from the train station.

The Hotel is very close to a Lawson kombini and a Tram stop. Making it convenient to go everywhere from there. Also, it is within walking distance of the beautiful Okayama Castle and Korakuen Park. Convenient The staff were accommodating and friendly.

The location of the hotel is not far from Okayama Train Station, which is reacheable by walking about 10 minutes. Near hotel is also full of eateries and also many night clubs and shopping destinations. The price of the room is affrodable.

The owner was really nice and spoke English and was able to help us call the Okayama Castle where we lost something and help us get it back. Clean kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable living area and nice Japanese style rooms.

One thing I particularly loved about Livemax Hotel Okayama was the excellent location. It was just a short walk away from train stations and several shopping centers, making it incredibly easy to explore the city and nearby areas.

Hotel is located close public transport and the main train station, and within a reasonable walking distance to okayama castle. Room was spacious and had all the basic amenities as well as a good view of the surrounding area.

We only had a brief stopover in Okayama and this hotel was ideal being close to the JR station and a short distance from the famous garden (which was lovely). Another high standard Japanese hotel so book with confidence.
