The staff are very friendly. They have a bus to pick you up from the pier to take you to the hotel and I arrived early for the check in, they even got a car to send to an attraction on the island where I can walk around first before I come back to check in. The hotel might seem pricey but it is a great value for what you get. The breakfast and kaiseki dinner are included. I used to live in Japan and dined at many kaiseki restaurants and this has to be one of the best. Every little thing was cooked to perfection. The menu was also seasonal.

A pretty standard room as far as "business hotels" in Japan go, though it does have a full bathroom. The on-site onsen was very nice, and the breakfast buffet was very satisfying. I regret that I fell asleep before trying the complimentary udon service that runs from 9 to 10 PM every night, but I would stay here again if I ever find my way back to Marugame.

His SIM card had a problem during his stay, and he needed to be helped by them. The problem was SIM card and a staff gave him a router, it was very helpful. We were staying in traditional- styled room, enjoyed experience a lot, sleeping on a futon was super comfy, very nice smell of wood?bamboo? Probably coming from tatami. Soothing music was available as a background, eating table also available. And bathtub was huge, enjoyed that a lot too
