Everything was great. I'd absolutely stay here again and again. The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the sauna and hot springs (2 large bath tubs) were amazing as well. 5 Stars.

Our stay at this hotel was exceptional. It is an experience we will treasure forever. The staff was so lovely, friendly and helpful. The traditional baths and the outdoor hot springs overlooking the mountains and a rushing river - everything we ever dreamed of! Spacious room for a family of five. Super clean. The tasting menu evening and breakfast were just such an amazing japanese experience. The staff so helpful explaining to us what they served - and how to eat it 😁. We loved it!!!

The onsen was amazing. The onsen on the men’s side consisted of one indoor pool, two outdoor pools, and two individual tubs outside. It was amazing. The hotel itself was a bit dated and the staff, while wonderful, were not as attentive as other Ryokans we have stayed. One other reviewer described it like staying at grandma’s house. This was a fair comparison. Finally, this hotel is very remote, the last place on the bus route. Given the price we could have stayed closer to town, but we loved the Onsen and our overall experience was excellent.

We visited here one night only, but were blown away by the quality of the food and the exceptional service. The staff were all kind and made our honeymoon feel that much more special, including taking photos for us (which they gave framed to us later!) and a surprising gift as well. They fed us so much delicious food during breakfast and dinner as well, and we enjoyed every bite. I've been the numerous ryokans before, but this experience was truly a cut above. Would gladly go back given a chance, and loved the convenient location as well to explore Takayama. Can't recommend enough!

Hotelli oli keskellä Magome-jukua kauniissa vanhassa rakennuksessa. Ateriat, jotka piti maksaa erikseen, olivat perinteiset ja paikalliset, lähiseudun kauden raaka-aineista tehdyt. Kannattaa ehdottomasti kokeilla. Huomioitava myös, että kylän kaikki palvelut sulkeutuvat viimeistään klo 17, eli ruokailuvaraukset majoituspaikkaan kannattaa tehdä.
Pikkuruinen huone, mutta hyvä sijainti. Alakerran ruokakaupassa kaikkea herkullista pitkien päiväretken sulostuttajaksi. Kiva kaupunki.
Very friendly and the first floor bath was lovely. They also followed up on articles left in the rooms and even mailed an important one back.

Probably the best hotel I stayed in my 3-week travel. The room was huge, beautiful, with all the amenities you need. The private onsen was also very nice - small but enough for 2 people. The location was also very convenient for a 1-night stay. Just 5min walk from the train and bus station
