This is the 2nd time I try a Richmond hotel and same as my previous experience in Aomori a few years ago, it was a pleasant one. Firstly, the ladies at the front desk are always smiling and offering to help. For an exhausted traveller who don't speak Japanese like me, the human touch is reassuring. Secondly, their breakfast is excellent and value-for-money. I am going back to Richmond again and getting their breakfast!

Super close to the Fukushima JR station, basically connected to it. Right next to the bus station too, so really easy to catch either a bus or a train. Next to a famous enban gyoza restaurant too. Quiet hotel, nice staff. Big sized room compared to most Japanese hotels, on par with the size of American hotels. Lovely view from the hotel window looking out towards the mountains. Wonderful breakfast included.
Fukushima
One of the famous hot spring towns, Iizaka in Fukushima. This Japanese Ryokan, Otori has great hot spring, wonderful staff(some speaks English), delicious meals. The facility is very modern, confortable and clean. We enjoyed local vegetables, seafood and meat. It is located about 10 minutes away by car from the nearest station, but they have a shuttle bus service.
Directly in the center, 50 meters from the western station exit. Through a tunnel, you reach the city with restaurants, bars, cafés,... and the bus terminal Fukushima city has no real own touristic value for a longer stay, so this hotel offers a great valuevfor arriving, relaxing a weekend and traveling on. Rooms are APA standard, VERY small, but clean.

Nice hostel, quite clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite basic and quite clean. Unfortunately a room mate was quite noisy after coming back very late in the night. Nice common room where you can work with PC (free wifi). The hostel is about 15-20 minutes walk from Fukushima train station.
A superb hotel, located only a few steps from the West Exit of Fukushima station (Shinkansen side). Very caring staff, exceptionally clean, very decently sized rooms. There is a 7-11 conbini right next door, and a great izakaya inside the hotel.
South of Fukushima Daiichi and Daini, we’ll located for business travelers, close to the train station. Rooms are modern and comfortable, breakfast/ dinner buffet is varied and tasty. There is a combini nearby.
Fukushima
The onsen is amazing. Staff is so friendly and gave a lot of tips. Really recommend trying out the peaches in Fukushima prefecture! It has best of both worlds, the benefits of both hostel and hotel.
They offer hot coffee & free curry to the guest.. Location perfect.. In front of Fukushima Station.. Definitely we will book again this hotel if we go back to Fukushima
