There's a lot Gangtok has to offer to it's travelers. Those looking for snow can explore North Sikkim. A day's exploration is enough to cover spots in Gangtok city. And 1 day visit to Changu lake is highly recommended.
A fun city to be in for one or two nights - there are a lot of students so it’s quite lively in the evenings. A few things to see around the city but mostly a good base to explore Sikkim.
Gangtok,a heart of Sikkim is very peaceful, well discipline where rules are followed very strictly, proud for the organic state, maintained law & order also maintains natural beauty.like so much
The city is extremely clean and orderly. MG Marg is a one time visit at best and the stuff available over there is pricey. You would get better stuff in other parts of Sikkim. Try staying at places like Ravangla, Namchi or Pelling if you really want to enjoy nature at its serene best . there are hardly any places to see over there except the monastery and the waterfall.
Very nice place it was wonderful trips for me and my family. But nathula pass was not permitted to us, even we had submitted our documents to travel agency, last they said pass is not done it is very default to get the siKKim govt should look into the matter
A great place to visit with Family. We were there from 7th to 10th June 2018. Hanuman Tok is a place where you can have a very good and clear view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Ban Jhakri Waterfall is a must to see. Tsomgo(Changu) lake and Baba mandir journey is hard due to poor road condition. But it is rewarding once you reach to Baba Mandir. We did not get permission for Nathula Pass. North Sikkim is scenic and very beautiful however the journey is very hard. Will not recommend for elderly peoples with back and neck problem or Spondylosis. in the month of june one should avoid travelling in North Sikkim in late evening. Due to cloudy season and frequent raining the visibility is too poor and driving in such conditions is a risk. Hence always start your day in early morning before 6am.
A very nice location while planning trips to North And West Sikkim. A few days here is sufficient to explore the area, take a cable car ride, stroll along the rope walk, eat some mo mos, wander through the markets and mingle among the locals.
First and foremost thing is that gangtok is too hot in summer it's just because of growing industrialization over there. It's getting populated and polluted day by day. Village life is cool in Sikkim and the wheather is also soothing over there with less pollution and fresh air. South Sikkim is too good as well as namchi rope way.

The Manager & The Entire Team Made Sure We Had A Fabulous Stay Here. The Morning Buffet Was Sumptuous. The Idli, Dosa, Pongal, Upma, Chutney and Dosas, Were Very Well Prepared. I Can Say This Since I Am Based Out Of South Of India. Except For The Distance From The City.... This Property Hits All The Spots !!! Overall A Wonderful Experience.
We stayed in this place for 4 nights during our Sikkim visit and it's a very good and budget friendly place for a family. The staff is extremely courteous and well mannered. They are always ready to help. The rooms are the best part. We stayed in the Tripple Delux Room and they are huge compared to other hotels in the same price. Also if you are Bengali, you will feel right at home because all the staff here are Bengali. The food is quite good too. Would definitely recommend this one.
Loved the stay for 3 days. The staff is amazing and friendly. They even upgraded our stay and made it even more happening. As soon as you wake up in the morning, you get to see the amazing view of the mountains. What else is needed. I want to give them a shoutout for their food. Too good. Excellent experience and I'm gonna recommend it to everyone. Whenever I am visiting Sikkim-Gangtok, Mount Himalayan hotel is the one I would choose. Cheers!

Our first time in Sikkim, we hadn't had a plan on what and where to go, but getting into tag along was the best thing in the trip. Manisha, our host was really good and had a lot of suggestions on where and how to go. Went out of her way to help us plan our trip and it was great. The hostel is super good, amenities as well. Neat and all the staff are really good. The travel cafe downstairs serves good food.
Room was large. Hotel was clean. Food was available and with some variety. It was the only hotel in sikkim to abide by booking.com and not give us grief over the booking. And the only hotel/homestay we stayed at with something to eat that was not spicy, potatoes or rice. The staff was helpful too. It really is about a 10 minute walk from Buddha park and about a km from the central part of Ravangla.
Our stay at Namdul Boutique Hotel was superb. Mr. Sudip Chatterjee, the owner, provided invaluable assistance for our trip to Gangtok, Sikkim. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with prompt room service. Delicious dinners and cooperative staff made our stay memorable. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway. Thanks to Mr. Sudip and Ms. Priyam Chatterjee for their hospitality.

Our stay at THE APARTMENT was one of the best experience we had in Sikkim. We are very impressed with the place and the service. This is gonna be our choice of stay for every time we visit Sikkim. Would recommend all our friends and everyone. The rooms are very pretty and the cherry on the cake is the view and the terrace. 10/10 for everything.

Hotel location was very near to city center yet at some distance to keep separate from crowd and rush. Manager was very helpful and supportive for guiding us about sikkim tour, staff was very helpful and prompt (special mention for Mr. Shiva). Rooms were clean and spacious. Overall great experience during the stay.
Pelling
Oh man! This is the best hostel I have been to in Sikkim. The whole family is the sweetest and warmest, you cannot have enough of the view or the love from the family or the food that aunty makes. The entire experience was ABSOLUTELY wholesome! ❤️ Definitely coming back.
Hotel Shambhala was beyond my expectation. Hotel owner Mr. Karna and his wife are very friendly. They arranged vehicle for our entire Sikkim trip at very reasonable rate. Very much satisfied. I would recommend to everyone. very close to M G Road and Vajra taxi stand.
Pelling
We were four relative visited different attractive place in Pelling, Sikkim in India and it was our great experience. We enjoyed more and our home stay was good for leaving and they easily hire car for our tour. Food and staffs are very polite and so nice .
We visited Sikkim and were impressed by how well the hotel managed everything for us, making our departure a happy one. One thing I really appreciate about this hotel is their willingness to accommodate all of our requests, even when they seem impossible.
The behavior of the hotel staff is very polite and supportive. They helped in booking tours for North Sikkim and Nathula at a reasonable price. Complementary breakfast is also very good both in taste and quantity. Lastly the hotel price is economical.
The staff were very helpful. Their Manager was always available on call and catered to all our needs. We stayed in a family room and the room was very spacious. After staying in few other hotels in sikkim, we found this hotel a welcome relief.

Zemu gantok was a good experience, for a first time hostel stay felt so cozy and relaxed. The host was very supportive, most travelers reach here with no itinerary for the first time to Sikkim, but they do make it happen here !!.
