Mc Kevitts Village Hotel ligger i Carlingford, 4 minuters promenad från King John's Castle, och erbjuder 2-stjärnigt boende med en terrass, en restaurang och en bar. It felt like I'd stepped back in time in this place, in a good way! The room was fine, nothing exciting, but I loved the pub/restaurant and various areas to hang out in and relax. The hotel ambience was relaxing, inviting. I expected Yeats to walk in at any moment. There's a little courtyard we didn't discover til the day we were leaving. Be sure to check that out! Staff were friendly, helpful, welcoming. It's a lovely location in the centre of what I'd call a small town with a village feel. I wish we'd booked a longer stay. There are interesting sites to visit close by. I enjoyed the shops around the hotel. Of all the places I visited in my 3 weeks in Ireland, this was one of the few I'd pick to live in if I had the desire to move!
