The Maldron Hotel is just off junction 17 of the M7 motorway, only 5 minute’s drive from Portlaoise town centre and O'Moore Park. It boasts a 20-metre pool, free Wi-Fi, free parking and a gym. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable. The gym has plenty of equipment, not too busy, and the pool facilities are nice.

We loved the very well stocked breakfast items even a chocolate! Sinead was helpful in suggesting eating places and local activities.

The hosts are awesome, location is great if you want to see east -southeast Ireland, away from noisy cities in a heartwarming rural setting among farms, but 4 km away from the highway.
