The Mill Park Hotel is a luxurious 4-star hotel located a mere 10 minutes' walk from historic Donegal Town. Offering free WiFi, a swimming pool, a restaurant and ample free parking. The property is super clean, beautiful rooms and common areas. I would definitely stay there again!

The Carrick Gate is just an all round great place. Located on the river right in town. So clean, newly refurbished, comfortable and excellent Continental breakfast with loads of choices. We were the only ones there being winter so it was lovely and quiet. We booked late and had a bit of delay making phone contact for the key, but that was fixed up quickly for us. Castle Grove Country House is a beautiful historic estate, but what makes it really unique are the most friendly staff there, always attentive even to the smallest of your needs. My son fell in love with one of the cats of the estate and one of the staff members made sure the cat was there the day of our departure, so my son could say goodbye to her. That was such a sweet gesture and we will never forget. Thank you to all the staff at Castle Grove Country House for making our stay unforgettable with their kindness ❤️

This luxury hotel has a magical location amid the Bluestack Mountains, on the edge of Lough Eske. It is 6 km from Donegal town and offers gourmet food and a romantic atmosphere. Food was amazing (bar, restaurant and breakfast). A good variety at breakfast buffet and a chef to make extra stuff request. Dinner at the restaurant was also very good. Food tasted brilliant and great service. Place had a reasobably large grounds to explore. Car is better to explore nearby areas. The lough nearby was good (saw some people kayaking there) but not sure if we could have taken a boat there.
