Just 3 minutes' walk from the beach in Buncrana, The Harbour Inn sits on a hillside overlooking the sandy beaches of Lough Swilly. Breakfast was delicious, if you are not a big breakfast person steer clear of the “Irish breakfast” it is a very large portion.

Situated in Carrick and with Slieve League reachable within 4.7 km, Carrick Gate features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. The Carrick Gate is just an all round great place. Located on the river right in town. So clean, newly refurbished, comfortable and excellent Continental breakfast with loads of choices. We were the only ones there being winter so it was lovely and quiet. We booked late and had a bit of delay making phone contact for the key, but that was fixed up quickly for us. An oasis of peace and tranquillity in the town of Letterkenny, County Donegal, this spectacular Georgian house stands within its own private estate overlooking Lough Swilly. Castle Grove Country House is a beautiful historic estate, but what makes it really unique are the most friendly staff there, always attentive even to the smallest of your needs. My son fell in love with one of the cats of the estate and one of the staff members made sure the cat was there the day of our departure, so my son could say goodbye to her. That was such a sweet gesture and we will never forget. Thank you to all the staff at Castle Grove Country House for making our stay unforgettable with their kindness ❤️

This luxury hotel has a magical location amid the Bluestack Mountains, on the edge of Lough Eske. It is 6 km from Donegal town and offers gourmet food and a romantic atmosphere. I liked that the staff were so friendly welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were out of this world absolutely fantastic from size to how clean the rooms were and the food was outstanding. It's a very peaceful calming and a great place for even a walk.
