Crover House Hotel & Golf Club is located on the North-East shores of Lough Sheelin Lake between Cavan and Ballyjamesduff. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

With an 18-hole championship golf course, a 20-metre pool and a luxurious spa, Slieve Russell Hotel is set within 300 acres of grounds. Everything. The hotel is beautiful,from the moment you walk in with it's lobby and marble staircase to the grounds and golf course ,the room was huge and lovely with a great view overlooking the golf course. We were there for a birthday and ate in the restaurant,the food so tasty and so was the full Irish breakfast the next morning. I used the pool,steam room and jacuzzi,there is a gym but preferred to go for a gentle walk around the grounds. The staff always smiling and welcoming. .Cant wait to go back again.

This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking. Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. Clean and well maintained. Dinner was spectacular really enjoyed the atmosphere. Just walk and enjoy the architecture and nature! Ideally located on the outskirts of Cavan, the Cavan Crystal Hotel is less than 5 minutes' drive from the town centre. It was clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly!

In 1,300 acres of country estate, the luxurious Farnham Estate Spa and Golf Resort has a spa with an outdoor infinity pool, forest walkways and an 18-hole golf course. Cavan Town is 3 km away. Our server at breakfast, Mary, was absolutely charming and nothing was too much trouble for her. She made the trip even more memorable. The walks were spectacular and the grounds were just too beautiful. Worth every penny!

Had a lovely stay here last weekend. Friendly staff, good hearty breakfast menu and a lovely bar with good Guinness which also had a fab evening food menu. Saturday evening was busier than the Sunday we are, so do book ahead for a table if that is something you need. Very affordable hotel also so Would definitely rebook. Fitzpatrick’s Tavern is located 20 km from Cavan Town, in the heart of the village Lough Gowna. Killykeen Forest Park is a 20-minutes drive. The hotel offers free WiFi. Family run, very friendly staff.

Situated in the centre of Cavan town on the main street, The Farnham Arms Hotel features a bar and restaurant. Location could not be better. It is on Main Street so bang in the centre of Cavan. All staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. My room and bathroom were spacious, with a kettle and tea and coffee, a hair dryer and a safe box - all in great working order. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet even though it was in the middle of town. There was also an ironing board and iron outside in the corridor for guests' use which was a great idea. Breakfast was very adequate with a good choice. I had meals in the Carvery and also the bar, both of which were very good value. I would highly recommend this hotel.
