Wonderful staff, fab dinner at Maxwell's (salmon en croute was the star!), delicious G&Ts beforehand made from Farnham estate gin, and a very comfortable & quiet room. Wish I'd had time to use the beautiful spa!

Situated in the centre of Cavan town on the main street, The Farnham Arms Hotel features a bar and restaurant. Location could not be better. It is on Main Street so bang in the centre of Cavan. All staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. My room and bathroom were spacious, with a kettle and tea and coffee, a hair dryer and a safe box - all in great working order. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet even though it was in the middle of town. There was also an ironing board and iron outside in the corridor for guests' use which was a great idea. Breakfast was very adequate with a good choice. I had meals in the Carvery and also the bar, both of which were very good value. I would highly recommend this hotel.
