We stayed for 5 days at Overwater Villa in the mid of September at Ta’aktana Labuan Bajo and ran out of superlatives to describe the experience by the 2nd night! It’s just the absolute best presentation of an Indonesian luxury stay. Very tasteful inclusion of Labuan Bajo seafaring and collective culture in the design of the physical space, cuisine, and the service. Absolutely recommending Ta’aktana wholeheartedly as the topmost representation of Indonesian hospitality!! The location right on the water was beautiful and kept in excellent condition, the diving was great and Claudia was an excellent guide.. the staff were so helpful in helping me organise flights out of Maumere. Because of the erupting volcano the airport is frequently closed and Claudia went out of her way to make my travels as smooth as possible
