This was our second visit this year and this time we brought the whole family. The environment allows you to have a nice small walk or a long hiking trip so it is suitable for both the more and less active members of the family. The religious aspect of the place is fantastic and adds a nice charm to the place. I would totally recommend to stay here.

Major Hotel És Palóc Apartmanház is located in Szécsény, just a 15-minute walk from the centre and the Forgách Castle, providing accommodation with a garden, free WiFi and free private parking. I booked for a doublebed room. Got one with 2 separate beds. We were not expected at the reception when we arrived even though, I have booked the room more than a week before arrival.

The Galcsik Fogadó is located in the centre of Salgótarján and offers you en-suite rooms with cable TV and free WiFi, as well as an à-la-carte restaurant serving typical Hungarian cuisine. Breakfast allegedly in the price but denied us

The Tó Wellness Hotel is located on the shore of the Bank Lake, at the foothills of the Börzsöny and Cserhát mountains. It features air-conditioned rooms and an outdoor pool. The spa is wonderful both the indoor and outdoor parts and the massage we booked was absolutely amazing. The location is also beautiful. Overall we had a good time, but it was regardless of the repeated inconvenience

I was only crossing the area and I needed a quick stay somewhere for one night. This was a really nice place to stay. The owners are super - friendly, the apartment is big and warm, the beds were super - comfortable. Everything was clean and cozy, and as a bonus there is a bathtub in the bathroom :) :) :) . I can imagine staying here longer, but perhaps not in winter :) I would like to thank the owners for their support, there was even tea and very, very tasty coffee in the kitchen, which helped a lot in the morning :) Very pleasant pricewise.
