The owners were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay! The housekeeper was also very friendly and her work ethics are amazing! It’s not often that you leave a hotel genuinely sad to go, but that’s exactly how we felt at Aurora. What a great experience. We actually loved that the property was not directly in downtown. Nuuk giving us the opportunity to walk half a mile each way taking a different road each time.

Set 15 minutes’ walk from the town center of Ilulissat, HOTEL SØMA Ilulissat has spectacular views of the world famous Ilulissat Icefjord. Friendly staff, great hotel, good for watching Aurora Borealis because it is a bit away from the town center. So, good conditions to see the polar light.

A hotel with spectacular views. A large room that has everything. Good meals, transportation to the city, professional staff, I had a great time.

The modern Hotel Icefiord is located 124 mi north of the Arctic Circle in western Greenland, 0.6 mi from Ilulissat town center. It offers a hotel bar and rooms with a flat-screen TV. Fantastic views, great restaurant, and lovely staff. We originally booked an apartment, but the heating and hot water system was having problems so they switched us to a room at the main building, which turns out to be great.
