Compared to Tbilisi the people here are less used to tourists. And (generalizing) they are more 'show off' people. Me and my gf are an unusual couple (tall dutch guy and little georgian girl) but we were often rude stared at. Much more than in Tbilisi. Since they thought my gf is also foreigner they gossiped about us while standing next to them. Being called stupid tourists while doing nothing wrong is weird. I felt less welcome and comfortable than in Tbilisi. Kutaisi itself has a few nice things to offer, but 1-2 days is enough for city itself. It is however excellent located for several excursions in the beautiful imereti region.
Kutaisi is a great city as a starting point to discover Georgia. Kutaisi is a lovely town itself, completely different than Tbilisi or Batumi. There's a nice old town and the street markets are very authentic and not the same as the usual basars. Around the town you can find a couple of national parks and other cities which are great for day trips, like Chiatura, the Okatse Canyon and Prometheus caves. In the beginning we had some problems to find an open restaurant, since the information at Tripadvisor are not up-to-date. But after a while we found some good places just by walking around. Also people from Imereti are pretty hospitable and friendly!

All round very satisfied with the deal. There's a kitchen, bathroom and a shaded veranda to relax. This hostel is suitable for travellers with some adventrous spirit who want a base for exploring the Imereti region. I would recommend it.

Everything! Nino and her husband are very accommodating and nice, warm people! We enjoyed our stay and we could talk for a long time in a lot of topics. We learnt a lot about Georgia and Imereti.
The location, room and clean area
The coolest hotel I've ever visited. It's an old hotel from Soviet times, part operational and part abandoned. If you are into history and urbex you definitely have to stay here at least one night.

Very good place. comfortable room, great breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The kitchen is on top level. Very friendly staff. overall we had a great experience. everyone who works in the hotel is super nice and professional.
First of all, everything is very clean. Staff members doing amazing work. They are very friendly. Breakfast is amazing, and in general in the restaurant they have very tasty food. Pool is clean. Pool facilities is also clean and basically they have everything at the pool what you need. Also in the rooms is every facilities what you need to have comfortable vacation. It is great place to stay. Basically you can have amazing vacation here. Definitely will come back here.
Location of the hotel cannot be better, directly in the center. But most of all was the perfect approach of the staff, who provided us with a ride to the airport very early in the morning and also prepared breakfast to go. It was my second stay here and next time I will decide the same.
The owner and staff were super helpful and offered to assist in anything I might need. I was happy to be able to use the kitchen during my long stay.

The location is quiet, only 10-15 mins if walking time to the center. The lady host was amazing, friendly and understanding, very welcomimg but at the same time she gives you space to do your own thing which is perfect! Breakfast was delicious, eggs pancakes, some veggies, bread, sausages what else do you need before long hot day ahead of you, just perfect! The room has an air-con so my sleep was comfortable. Clean shower and toilet. You also have a shared small kitchen, where you can enjoy a tea and coffee whenever you want.
The breakfast was amazing! Fresh food from the village and big selection to suit any taste. The owner let us try his homebrew alchohol which was very nice. We checked in very late night and he was there kindly waiting for us. The room was preheated on a very cold night which made the sleep comfortable. Rustic and farm house feel from outside with modern and clean clean rooms. Would stay again 100% fantastic value for money.
I stayed on two separate occasions and the owner of the hotel was so incredibly welcoming! The views from my room and the huge breakfast spread were also highlights of my stay.
The place is very clean, the staff is so friendly, good view from the terrace to see view of Kutaisi city and the breakfast is okay.

Relative to the cost - its totally worth your money. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is good, there is free parking.
