Situated in 1.5 acres of elevated grounds, 'Knockendarroch Hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Pitlochry town centre. We really liked staying at Knockendarroch. The hotel is located in a gorgeous, historical building on top a hill, offering great views of the Pitlochry area. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There plenty of parking on the premises. The hotel offers great breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and there was a lot of options to pick from. We also had our dinners at the hotel restaurant as well. The dinner was delicious as well. Each day, there is a different dinner menu (appetizer, main and dessert). We tried several items. We really liked venison, lamb and pork roulette. Pitlochry and the area offer a lot of great place to explore. Other further away sights, Balmoral, Perth or St Andrews, are easily reachable on a day trip.

Traditional Scottish and delicious. The owners parents had breakfast with us and told us so much about the area and the hotel. The recent revitalization of this 1940's village pub is gorgeous, cozy, comfy & welcoming.

Set 10 km from Castle Menzies, The Grandtully Hotel offers 4-star accommodation in Grandtully and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Lovely little hotel in quiet Grandtully. We enjoyed the food and stay at this small inn, and walked one afternoon along the river bank to the next town as well as visited (the outside at least - as it was closed until 2 PM) the nearby Menzies Castle.

It was tucked away from the main town, but incredibly close, so you felt the beauty of the countryside, while enjoying the benefits of the town.
