Situated in Newry, Flagstaff Lodge features free private parking. The hotel has a sun terrace and views of the mountains, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Easy to find and close to the motorway ( no motorway noise), very friendly reception, comfortable and spacey room ( I got an upgrade) that looks clean and gives a warm atmophere. Excellent restaurant that is reasonably priced. Very good value for the money, but very good overall.

Proprietor was super-friendly. Room was modern and spotlessly clean but also comfortable and quiet. We ate both dinner and breakfast at The Artisan restaurant downstairs in same building as our room. Absolutely delicious modern take on both Irish and eclectic dishes. Great bakery across the street. Easy street parking.

On the outskirts of the vibrant city of Newry, Mourne Country Hotel offers high-quality accommodation, with a restaurant, bar. En suite rooms are complemented by free on-site parking. Although decor was a little dated the room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless with everything needed, bed was comfy, tea/coffee facilities provided. Breakfast was delicious.... plenty on the buffet and then hot food cooked to order which was really lovely.... Staff all very friendly, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We are regular visitors to Newry and would stay there again for sure if wanting a hotel rather than self-catering apartment.
