Proprietor was super-friendly. Room was modern and spotlessly clean but also comfortable and quiet. We ate both dinner and breakfast at The Artisan restaurant downstairs in same building as our room. Absolutely delicious modern take on both Irish and eclectic dishes. Great bakery across the street. Easy street parking.

This fine 4-star hotel with leisure complex is located on Merchants Quay in the city centre, convenient for all the city-centre amenities, pubs bars and restaurants. Everything was great - this is a high standard of hotel in all respects (facilities, comfort, staff). Dining and bar facilities are also good. Comfortable lobby areas also.

On the outskirts of the vibrant city of Newry, Mourne Country Hotel offers high-quality accommodation, with a restaurant, bar. En suite rooms are complemented by free on-site parking. Although decor was a little dated the room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless with everything needed, bed was comfy, tea/coffee facilities provided. Breakfast was delicious.... plenty on the buffet and then hot food cooked to order which was really lovely.... Staff all very friendly, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We are regular visitors to Newry and would stay there again for sure if wanting a hotel rather than self-catering apartment.
