This property was lovely, I really appreciate how homely it felt. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom a bit tricky that one. There’s a ski resort not too far from the hotel you can literally walk over there. There’s a restaurant at the slope area and in the hotel but the one at the hotel at the time of my stay was not open until Thursdays. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was top notch. I really enjoyed my stay and I’m looking forward to coming back.

Just 10 minutes’ walk from Kajaani Railway Station, Original Sokos Hotel Valjus offers free sauna access and an on-site restaurant and bar. This fabulous hotel in the center of the little town Kajaani was way beyond what I had expected. The staff was so friendly and helpful. My room was clean, very modern and the bed was extremely comfy. I really didn't want to leave. Lunch and dinner in the downstairs restaurant were outstanding. Something I would have expected to find in a big city.
