Pilguse Residency is a large estate with facilities spread across several buildings. During my visit in July, I stayed in a small cabin with wonderful views over the field and towards the lake. The cabin was tastefully designed and furnished and made for a very comfortable couple of nights. The shower facilities in the main compound were luxurious, as was the restaurant, with excellent breakfasts and evening meals. Staff were kind, attentive and helpful.

Arensburg Boutique Hotel & Spa is located on the main street of Kuressaare's Old Town, close to the center and the castle park. Breakfast was really nice. I was travelling with 3 children and each day they complimented the food - so top points. The pool is 135 cm deep and warm. You can overlook the swimming area from the sauna and bubble bath, to keep every body safe. Even though there were people around the Hotel in and about, it was peaceful and no hassle. We really hope to visit again!

Located in a quiet side street in the middle of Kuressaare, Hotel NOSPA is a modern, automatic hotel for the modern and comfortable traveler. In few words: The best place I have ever stayed for the price. All was clean, and the different spaces were very well thought and ample (congratulations to the architect and the designer). Well equiped kitchen, room with good amount of space, Common areas also well thought and include a kids corner with games.There is also a silence cabin if you need silence to hold a small meeting. There are also a washing machine and a drier for your use. The room has a mini fridge and there is a bigger one in the kitchen. Comfortable bed, Exellent value. A pity I did not have more time to stay longer, since the town is also very enjoyable. Congratulation to the hotel.

We liked everything. Including evening SPA. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

The 4-star Georg Ots Spa Hotel is just 55 yards from the yacht marina and the beach in Kuressaare. The historic Kuressaare Castle is .25 miles from the property. Well kept spa hotel, very good breakfast and amazing dinner, nice and spacious spa area. Room and the bathroom were a bit small, but well planned and had a balcony. Dine at the restaurant, the food was exceptional.

A car would be best for traveling on Saaremaa island. It is only a short ferry ride away from the rest of Estonia and the countryside is absolutely lovely. If you have the time, go and visit Good Kaarma and buy some of their awesome soaps (and maybe crash their sons birthday party). When based at Kuressaare you could also check out their shop there but you would definitely miss out on something. ;) Food at KuKuu is really delicious and there is also plenty of stuff for vegetarians.
Deep historical roots, friendly people and all the latest modern updates that a traveller needs. Lots to see and do, with a real medieval castle to explore. Great food and drink to enjoy. This city and the whole island of Saaremaa have a relaxed and home-like appeal.
My favourite place to visit was a medieval castle of Kuressaare. I ate in Saaremaa Veski Restaurant (Saaremaa Windmill Restaurant). There is also a good place Mosaiik Cafe to eat and meet friends. And an excellent place to relax and eat is Ahrensburg Restaurant in Ahresnpurg Boutique Hotel and Spa. The trip from Tallinn to Kuressaare takes approximately 1,5 hours driving by car and + waiting in the ferry queue + 30 minutes by ferry + 60 minutes driving to Kuressaare. So, it is not very easy to get to the island of Saaremaa and to drive to Kuressaare. I went for the art exhibition in Town Hall of Kuressaare, i walked long hours around the town and took photos of small houses of Kuressaare.

We stayed 1 night in the apartment before leaving Saaremaa - it is a fully equipped living space suitable for families with kids. It has everything necessary for staying short and long term - one may stay here the whole summer if the price is affordable. There are 2 bedrooms with full size beds, a comfortable bathroom and a large living room with fully equipped kitchen area. Complimentary WIFI included, also flatscreen TV and even a PlayStation gaming console (though did not use it).
The food at the restaurant was perfect, including breakfast. From local ingredients but with an interesting twist amd very beautifulle served. So whoever want a foodie experience in Saaremaa - I highly suggest. The family that runs the hotel and restaurant is welcoming and thoughtful. Its clear that they love what they do and life at the seaside, and this creates a special vibe. Location is very near to Panga cliff, there is a 1 minute walk to seaside.
Kuressaare
It was very clean with good kitchen facilities. My room was lovely and quiet. Not far to walk to turn but there were bikes to hire in the hostel. Good to cycle locally but Saaremaa is big. Bus station minutes away so you could get public transport to Angla windmills. There were midsummer festivities, folk dancing and bonfire on the beach at the time of my visit.
The property is simply magnificent. It's completely secluded and you can be fully immersed by the nature. At the same time the house has all the necessary amenities and the host is an extremely nice person as well. If you are looking for a private apartment/house on Saaremaa, look no further and book this gem!
Orissaare
Well, this is something! Julian and Ulna are great hosts that welcomed us in Estonian heaven (with a tasty welcome pack). Our red cottage was a perfect base for exploring the beautiful Saaremaa island. And you definitely have to try Julian's pizza! Highly recommended.

Big, beautiful and clean territory. All over the stay, in the whole territory and inside the houses we were happy with the feeling that everything is thought for. We couldn’t even think for any improvement, everything was already perfect. New facilities. Very comfortable beds. Amazing sauna and pond. We loved everything and would like to come here again.
