Located in Quito, 70 metres from Bolivar Theatre, Friends Hotel & Rooftop - Historic Center & Museums offers accommodation with a terrace and private parking. Friends and Rooftop Hotel is such a fitting name! I was greeted by the friendliest staff who made me feel home immediately. My room was lovely and clean, my bed extremely comfortable with the most luxurious linens and enough pillows to allow even the most picky sleeper to find one to suit. The shower was excellent with a strong showerhead and plenty of hot water. The location was in walking distance of all the historical sights and the staff could arrange specialty tours and call for taxis at a moment's notice. I cannot stress enough how friendly the staff, making me feel like a friend the moment I arrived.

Breakfast was awesome, made for us every morning with wonderful fruit, eggs, waffles and coffee or tea. Super fresh and served with a smile! Room was spacious, comfortable, clean and had a unique Ecuadorian vibe and decor. Would definitely reccomend! Shops, museum and park right outside.

Of course, the artwork (of Che) inside is very unique & beyond incredible. You cannot find such a place very often (if ever?) with such ambiance, cleanliness, & convenience of location.

Unfortunately, we stayed only one night, but this place is just great and the hosts could not have been more helpful, the communication was excellent and the coffee was the best ever. This small hotel is not only new (opened three years ago) but also perfectly maintained and super clean. Tucked in a quiet and safe corner, in a short walking distance to a shopping mall (2 mins away), taxis and ATMs, the hotel is also close to the city centre, so we even walked downtown (15 mins) and back in the evening. The beds meet the standards of a four-star hotel, so you can sleep comfortably after chilling in bed watching Netflix and resting before climbing Chimborazo.
