It's surely worth a weekend, 3 days if you like to visit different museums. Old town is really small and full of wonders, Schnoor and Botterstrasse deserve a bit of your time. The market place is nice, Town Hall, which is its centre, is worth a visit even though I expected to see a bit more, but an hour guided tour flies (you can buy the tickets online or at the tourist office). The Cathedral is a must! The new market is closed on Sundays, but it's a good spot if you like comfy street food service and on Saturdays there's the market in an area of the main square and it offers quite a good variety of local products. The Old town is not massive, you can easily see everything in a day, relaxing during your tour. You can walk along the green belt towards the windmill and enjoy it too, you do not feel you are in town; do not expect much from the windmill, inside it's completely refurbished and the cafè isn't anything special. If you like museums, there's a good selection. The town developed along the canals, at winter you can have a walk on the banks, but there's nothing really. A walk to the Station square could be interesting as well, the square in front of the train station is full of restaurants. Transport to and from the airport (which is very small) are very good, tram no. 6 is frequent. We just walked around, but we could see public transport get you everywhere. I relied on Tripadvisor choosing restaurants and places to stop and revitalise and I was happy with them all. Bremen Restkeller is a must, I think.
Great exhibition called Proof of Life is on in the contemporary art gallery at the moment. On the waterfront just opposite is Paulaner's, the best value pub dining in Bremen and there are many interesting small shops in the Schoor. It's lovely walking around the mediaeval city centre.
Bremen is not very touristic. Local people and most of the people that work in the shops do not speak english. Airport - Bremen city centre only 10min by tram . 2 days trip is enough. If you go for 3days a recommend to visit Hamburg from Bremen. Go to Burguerpark the entrance is free and they have animals and small lakes, beautiful!
Nothing much to do, except visiting the cathedral and the market square. Hamburg is about 45mins if using the IC Train, about 1:10 mins by RE Trains. More attractions and things to do in Hamburg than Bremen.
Bremen is a wonderful place. I like there. I ate at home but a lot of good restaurant and bar in the city center. Especially I recommend some place. Schüttinger, Hachez, Bremen Cafe Tölke, Konditoroi Stecker.
I really enjoyed go around this ancient neighborhood. The stores, restaurants and the small wooden houses were so delightful for my eyes. A place very recommended in Bremen.
Bremen surprised us in a good way. Old town center is absolutely beautiful, and there are many good restaurants and pubs to choose from. Schuttinger is a great place to start -- decent german pub food, cozy pub ambience and its own beer brewery on-site! We're also big fans of the four musicians of Bremen so despite the small size of the monument it's fun to have them as the mascots of the city. Lots of shopping to do, which was also surprising. Don't forget to browse at Hachez, which has a wide range of chocolate, tea and gifts.
Bremen is larger than I expected but very easy to walk around. Large square in center of old town with lots of restaurants & bars with outside seating. Reasonable prices for city centre but cheaper to eat if you walk down side streets. Lots of shops, designer & unique stuff to buy. Lots of different cuisines to try. Trams & buses frequent & easy to use, day or longer passes can be bought at reasonable prices. Visit riverside for boat restaurants, we went to the Admiral Nelson pancake boat, very friendly staff & lovely food. Nice walk all along the river. There are large parks & a science,interactive museum that we didn’t have time to visit but came highly recommended. If flying in, tram 6 goes directly to city centre from outside terminal 1, takes 10 minutes & cost €2.75 per adult, taxi cost about €15 Would definitely go again & stay a little longer.
Bremen is a super compact city, with its highlights all at close distance of the central square. Don't miss the guided tour in the city hall. the lady will tell you all about Bremen's rich history as a seafaring city state. Next to the city hall you will find the statue of the "Town Musicians of Bremen" (the fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm). Duh. Far more interesting is the restaurant beneath the City Hall (the Bremer Ratskeller) where you can eat good quality food for a very reasonable price. They also have a huge selection of the best german wines. A must for every visitor. Bremen hosts two museums of major importance. First the Kunsthalle, with its exhibitons of dutch paintings and drawings from the Golden Age. Second, the Übersee Museum, where I was especially impressed by the collections from the Pacific and Asia at the ground floor.
A must-see if you are in Bremen. The streets are full of little cosy cafes and souvenir shop. A wonderer's paradise.

The four large bedrooms were very comfortable. The pillow top beds felt good even with my bad back. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes and glasses and even had some spices in the cupboard. Two bathrooms was a huge plus for the 6 of us. The clothes washer worked very well. The location is great. 3 minute walk to transportation, 15 to Altstadt. Everything was clean and ready to go. If I go to Bremen with a large party again, this will be at the top of the list.

The apartment is located in a nice and quiet part of the city, in a guiet street. You can walk to the city. Communication with Mel and Ben was excellent. The apartment is nicely decorated, modern and very, very clean. Kitchen is well equipped. The beds in the room are comfortable. The furniture is new. The apartment is warm and we recommend it to everyone. You won't regret it. If we come to Bremen again, we would love to stay in this apartment.
First of all, it is a HOSTEL. Why the name does not write HOSTEL?? I definitely do not prefer to stay at a hostel with my family, however since it was named as a&o bremen hbf I did not realized that it is a hostel. The room was not clean. We found a used towel paper on the kids bed. The pictures of the room were far different than the reality. The coffee was terrible. Please use "hostel" in the name so people know that it is a hostel!
The Radisson Blu Hotel Bremen is a fantastic hotel and location, close to the old city & major tourist attractions. The hotel has onsite parking, a very nice gym, the breakfast had a huge variety including many options for vegans. The hotel staff was super friendly, accommodating and willing to help answer any and all questions to make our stay even better. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
The hotel is quite close to the Central Station. The room was extremely comfortable and relaxing. The staff were friendly and supportive. Having free, high-quality coffee and tea available all day in the lobby is a wonderful touch. It’s also great to have a secure luggage room to store your belongings. If I visit Bremen again, I will definitely stay at the same hotel.

The location is perfect, only a few minutes walking distance from various main attractions like the Rathuis and literally in Bremen's city center. We parked at the parking garage Breparkhuis Am Brill which is just around the corner. We love the spacious apartment with its facilities and not to forget the lovely breakfast at the Espresso House.
This is my favorite hotel in Bremen. Walking distance from the airport - it's nice for flights early in the morning. Fantastic breakfast - I received my espresso and breakfast at 0430lt before going to the airport. The staff is always ready to help you. The restaurant offers a good dinner if you don't have high expectations.
Lovely quaint hotel near a ferry port in Vegesak Bremen. Reception and dining room very traditional, and were beautifully decorated for Christmas. Pet friendly (additional supplement on top of room price). Room was large, fairly dated from a style perspective, but very well maintained and very clean.
The breakfast is great.. lots of choice and plentiful.. It’s comfortable.. the staff are extremely pleasant and accommodating.. and it’s exceptionally clean.. My husband and I have stayed many times at the Hotel Robben and for us is the only place for us to stay when we come to Bremen.
Great hostel just 3-4 minutes by foot from the Bremen main train station. Very clean and classy, it's a hotel experience in a hostel form. The room was clean and airy. The bathroom very nice and well designed. The elevator very fast. All in all, great choice when staying in Bremen.
The ship is at a prime location at the river front (Slachte) next to the historic centre of Bremen. The (former) Sailing Ship is an historic monument itself, but is also a restaurant, bar and hotel. The ambiance is great. The restaurant is cosy and the food is good.

It's a lovely resort hotel. We had a very large comfortable room and bathroom. We came to Bremen to visit the Christmas markets but I think the summer months this would be a great hotel with the park right there.
