Casa Djarmai Boutique Apartments is a recently renovated apartment in Vila do Porto near Biche Rocha Beach. Strong wifi (my husband used whatsapp calls for work everyday during our 1 week stay without any problem!), excellent air condition, coffee maker, hot water, really clean and beautifully decorated rooms and a blooming garden. All these things in Africa, just wow! 👍 Not to mention free upgrade to 2 bedroom apartment, free transport from the pier and to the airport and a late check-out... We are traveling 2-3 months a year with a child (3 years old right now) and my husband needs to work a couple of hours every day while on the road. This place met all our specific needs, thank you Nanda and Pompeo!

We had an incredible one-week stay. The property is located in the "Stella Maris" condominium, which from my experience having visited Maio multiple times is probably the best of its kind on the island. The apartment was well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and all the essentials. The condo itself features a fantastic pool with stunning ocean views, which was the highlight for us. The price was fair, and the host Odair was communicative, quickly addressing any minor issues that arose.

This might be by far the coziest place you can stay at for a trip to Maio. The apartments are big and comfortable and Mona is one of the friendliest hosts I've ever experienced. Her cooking is extraordinary and the jam she makes for breakfast is delicious. The apartment is located 150m away from one of the nicest and loneliest beaches I have seen in my life. You will have the ocean for yourself... At least until others will find out about the beauty of Maio ;)
The manager of the little hotel makes everything you feel good there. As I booked very spontaneously, the room category I choosed was taken, so he offered me an upgrade. The roof top terrace is - as I could see - the highest around there and overviews whole Porto Ingles/Vila do Maio until the Salinas. Wonderful!! And you're just beside the big yellow church. Shower has hot water and veeery good pressure!!

We had a pleasant stay at Casa Evora. We stayed in the room Solange which is situated right next to the main « road » of Maio, and quite exposed to the street (expect noises if you stay there). The room is ok, but nothing comparable to a Boutique Hotel room. The hotel is conveniently situated, in front of the main road and next to the beach.
We booked 2 nights, could stay 5 days in the hotel, we liked it very much. The owner family were very friendly, helpful. We enjoyed the good breakfast, everywhere was very clean, nice facility. Near the beach and restaurants around. Very beautiful, quait, small island Maio with long beaches, nice people around. We recommend a lot.

The location is pretty central in Vila de Maio, Pompeo e Nanda welcomed us and made us feel at home. The apartment we stayed in was comfortable and close to the beach and the main street. There is a beautiful garden and a terrace where it is possible to have barbecue
Calheta Do Maio
Lovely apartment, spotless clean, with all facilities and great location. The hosts Alessandra and Ilario are the real treasure of the amazing island Maio. Can only recommend it!
