Bella Vista Ranch Ecolodge is located in Turrialba and has a garden, terrace and shared lounge. Featuring a tour desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Mark, Anabel, and Auxi were wonderful. I was very grateful Auxi was there to make us meals. We had a simple ham and cheese sandwich & fries for lunch and steak, salad, fries + dessert for dinner. If you do not have a 4x4 car it makes it difficult to go up the hill to get to the bungalow so that is the only thing I would make sure you have before coming. But also because of that - we were extremely grateful to have Auxi make us meals and also that it was not a menu so we didn't have to think or choose what to eat, but just ate what was provided. Both Mark and Ana are very friendly and we loved their energy. The facilities were great. We loved the rain and quiet. The view was spectacular waking up. Nortico is very closeby for a nice small walk. So many friendly dogs around! Bonus - the water was a bit low pressure in the bungalow but loved that it got HOT.

Orosi Lodge is located 5 minutes’ drive from Orosí mani square and 15 km from Cartago city centre. Free WiFi access is available in all areas. Orosí Lodge is a beautiful property. It is not fancy, but the solitude of the town of Orosi makes this a special place away from the traffic and congestion of not far away Cartago and especially, San Jose. There are roads in the region which would allow for driving to much of the Country and eliminating San Jose and its’ traffic entirely; spend a few days and relax at Orosi Lodge and then drive a rent a car for stays in other parts of Costa Rica, especially the Caribbean Coast and the Southern Pacific Coast. Andreas and Connie, the owners of the Lodge, are extremely helpful with recommendations. The rest of the Staff there is very friendly and a great breakfast is available, if you want. In addition, there are many inexpensive restaurants within walking distance. Don’t miss the Spanish Colonial Church in the center of town built in the 1700s.

Situated in Cachí, 6.6 km from Ujarras Ruins, Hotel Boutique Casona del Cafetal features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This place was absolutely breathtaking!! We went for my fiancés birthday! We could not have picked a more beautiful place to celebrate!! The coffee plants were not only on the property, so we could see them up close and personal, but also served with our delicious complimentary breakfast! Delicious, freshly roasted Costa Rican coffee! I can not recommend this place enough…. Everything, including the bathrooms were beautiful!

Located in Cartago, 14 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester, Coffee Pickers Village By Hacienda Orosi provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Lovely mineral baths, animal farm and hiking trail. Good service from staff. A wonderful time had by all!

Located in Cartago, 14 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester, Hotel Cabañas y Mirador Secret Garden CR provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Everything was as expected. Spectacular daytime views of the valley below. Beautiful city lights view at night. The cabins were very nice, staff was wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was vey good. We were there to go see the Irazu Volcano. The drive to the volcano was about 25 minutes up the mountain. Great location to go see the volcano.

Set in Cartago, 5.9 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester, La Casa de Mamá Coyita offers accommodation with a garden, private parking and a terrace. The host and family were so kind and helpful. They make us feel very welcome, the breakfast was so good, the accommodation is so unique, tranquil and full of interesting things to see. They have lovely friendly dogs. We really enjoyed the time there and felt right at home.

Set in Turrialba, 36 km from Ujarras Ruins, Vista Turrialba Lodge offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. Breakfast was great. Luis and his family were very friendly and helpful with recommendations.

Hotel Las Brumas offers accommodation in Cartago. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. I arrived late due to cancellation of previous booking. Reception assisted me to late premises late at night and provided secure parking location.
