Discover the charm of Hotel Secreto La Fortuna, a quiet retreat in the heart of Fortuna, Costa Rica. The hotel was situated in a quiet area of town, but was still super close to all the restaurants, bars and attractions. Staff were incredibly helpful and organised a taxi for us from the airport and to the waterfall one day. The room was big and clean with good air con. The outside area was also lovely, with an amazing view and the gardens are super pretty - attracting lots of birds - a highlight for us was seeing the hummingbird from the breakfast table every day - we loved it!

Offering outdoor pool and a hot tub, Hotel Roca Negra Del Arenal is located in the suburbs of Fortuna. Free Wi-Fi access is available. Pool, hot tub, communal area, breakfast - we loved the cooks/ hostess in the breakfast area - tip lots! front desk ladies were the best- we had lost our luggage and they helped us try and find it. When we arrived I saw one of the most breath taking views ever. The volcano is so close and makes a crazy impression. I could just stare at it. I wish we could stay longer. Such a peaceful and calm environment, breath taking view on the volcano, well maintained gardens, fantastic pool. So much wildlife- we could hear hundreds of birds all the time. I recommend visiting nearby restaurants as there are so many just a few minutes away. The only thing I didn’t like was a dinner at the hotel restaurant- it was expensive and really not too tasty. Very „Americanized” menu. I would rather have something local and simple. Breakfasts were wonderful though.

Featuring an extensive garden, a sun terrace with swimming pool, spa treatments and free Wi-Fi throughout, this hotel is 10 minutes’ drive from the Arenal Volcano National Park and from La Fortuna... Beautiful resort with lush gardens. We just liked everything about it. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice terraces facing flora and fauna. The restaurant provides pleasant seating and a good breakfast. The (thermal) pools and jacuzzis are very nice and relaxing. We also enjoyed the happy hours at the pool side. An important point to mention is the very well trained, pleasant and helpful staff. Would definitely go back there for a stay in La Fortuna.

We thoroughly enjoyed a night time paddle and the sounds of the rainforest. Fantastic proximity for hiking Rio Celeste and likely many other activities (wish we would/could have stayed longer). The staff was attentive and the included breakfast was a nice treat before we headed out hiking. The cabin itself was great, plenty of space and I really liked having a separate bath/shower. Killer view from the porch, walking around the grounds and to/from the dining area (which was also awesome) was a treat.
