Hotel Playa Scondida Baru is a rustic-style lodge on Baru Island, 1 hour from Cartagena by motorboat. I loved staying here! Swimming and snorkeling in the mangrove and Playa Azul, colorful fish, warm water, beautiful native forest around the property, swimming pool, delicious food, friendly staff, actually, they are the friendliest staff I’ve ever come across. Sabine, don Sergio, and Lucrecia just want to make you feel at home and help out. Benjamin was nice and polite and took us to other beaches on the boat. Alexis and her sister are fantastic cooks and very nice, too. I loved everything about this place. I feel lucky I found them and I will return. I feel like I found my special place in the Caribbean!

Located in Baru and with Playa Blanca reachable within 200 metres, Cristal Blue Barú provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a terrace, free WiFi and a restaurant. Really friendly staff and very accommodating when it comes to question (initially planned for a leave at 11am but were allowed to keep our suitcases in the room including the key until our departure at 1:30pm). We really like the Cristal Hamburguesa. Overall a quite placemat the end of Playa Blanca (its located in the north, the more south you go the more touristy it gets). Beautiful sunsets.
