Located in Baru, 700 metres from Agua Azul Beach, Hotel Agua Baru by Mustique features views of the pool. We had a beautiful room with a terrace and private pool. We were upgraded as we were the only guests. The staff was very attentive and accommodating.

Hotel Playa Scondida Baru is a rustic-style lodge on Baru Island, 1 hour from Cartagena by motorboat. The hotel is nice, Caribbean style rooms, nice little pool,a small pier where you can sunbathe and a little piece of beach. The hotel is incredible peaceful as it only accommodate a small number of guests and therefore the attention of the staff is unbelievable. Lucrecia and Sergio especially are amazing and they will help with any requests you have with a kindness that you'll never see anywhere else. The hotel also offers transportation service with a private boat so you can reach nearby tourist attraction( just ask and they will take you anywhere). Very satisfied and will probably visit again.

Hotel Las Islas has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and private beach area in Baru. Fantastic beach resort. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and dinners were nice. The bar has great vistas and on the roof there is a telescope so I got to see Saturn and its rings. Rooms have those Japanese automatic toilets which I had never experienced before.

SABAI Beach Hotel features 200 metres of private white sand beach and free WiFi access in public areas. It is located in Barú Peninsula (an island), 20 minutes’ drive from Barbacoas Bay. It is just such a beautiful place, natural and tranquil. The staff are fantastic, very nice and attentive, they made our stay very special. We would like to thank David, Chris, Raul and Luz and all the other staff - they were like friends. The beach and water is outstanding, the best we have ever tried. We will come back soon again. It was very hard to leave this magical place
