As i am non Chinese speaker, they helped me a lot in finding my lost luggage and talked with the respective authorities on my behalf to find them finally. Thanks heaps for that.

Set in Zhangjiajie and with Tianzi Mountain reachable within 200 metres, Zhangjiajie YOLO Resort--Within Zhangjiajie National Forest Park offers a garden, allergy-free rooms, free WiFi and a terrace. First of all the location, which is right into the natural park. This means you wont' have to queue up for the entrances again in the morning and start the day right away. The rooms themselves were the best rooms we had our 2 week trip to China. They have also a good restaurant, and in summer you can eat outside and enjoy the view of nature right from the table. Remember to ask for tips on what to visit in the park! There are plenty of wonderful locations we have seen only thanks to the suggestions of the staff here! We sadly booked only 1 night, but we liked it so much that we trying to find ways of reshuffling our next bookings to extend our stay here for longer!

Not much different to any other 2nd Tier city in China. There are parks, a few old buildings/temples with sections of the old city wall. A couple of pedestrian streets. Pretty much the same as every other Chinese city. Perfectly fine to spend a couple of days trying Hunan food, walking the parks, looking at monuments.
It is quite far across the bridge. But there is a bus to Hunan university that can take you there
The local food tends to be very spicy but I like them a lot! There are a few Dishes in traditional Hunan Cuisine restaurant you should try: 1. 剁椒鱼头 Duo jiao yu tou: steamed big fish head covered with preserved chillies, veeeery hot. 2. 手撕包菜 Shou si bao cai: fried cabbages with vineger. If you are a street food hunter, try to walk around the universities area. In Tianma area, where students from Hunan university and Hunan Normal university live there, there are many different street food. Barbecue is highly recommended! the best ever had. I enjoyed Yuelu mountain a lot. The air quality there is good. The Yuelu Academy is very much recommended. It is very beautiful and historical significant, but you had better to be with a guide. The Juzi island is not recommended. It is completely modern garden and full of people. Walking around is very exhausted. I have been to Shangsha museum, it is quite impressive as well.
I feel like Changsha is a base to get to other locations in Hunan. Although everyone that I met was very lovely and helpful.
Merry and her family were very kind, welcoming and helpful hosts. The homestay is located in the immediate vicinity of one of the main entrances of the Zhangjiajie national park. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean, and Merry's cooking is delicious. Also, Merry can arrange a private shuttle from the airport as well as tickets for the park, and will advise you on the best program depending of the time you have in the area. All in all, one of the best hotels I visited during my stay in Hunan, with the greatest hosts!
This hotel is beautiful and has everything that one could desire. The room was large and clean, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff went out of their way to ensure that everything went smoothly during the stay. In particular, Chen Qiu Feng (Amy) was invaluable in facilitating the reservation and payment, and in making the time at World Hotel Jiaxing Hunan (in Changsha) an amazing experience. She is a gem, as is the hotel.

This is such an incredible place to stay near Zhangjiajie. Being at one of the least popular gates it makes entry to the park easy (10min walk), yet the entrance is well connected by road to major points. The owner was super nice and always helpful. Despite his limited English we were always able to communicate using translator apps. He drove us to the entrance when we asked, looked up bus timetables, he even helped us find new drone propellor within an hour after we clipped them at the park one time. Speaking of drone, if you like flying it this spot is perfect. The park opens way after sunrise and before sunset, however as this place is located in a direct line of sight with the park you can get stunning shots right from the property. It's about a 3km flight, but once you get there your mind will be blown. I recommend the small wooden platform with a wooden heart about 80m right of the property so you don't disturb other guests. The room itself is amazing, bed is huge and super soft. Always clean and smelling nice. Oh, did I mention we got a free room upgrade? You will definitely have a 'purespace' experience here, watching the everchanging moods of this beautiful area through the massive glass windows. The breakfast was included and is simple but yummy. Mostly Chinese option food wise, and its good to note there is not much around so you might need to cab to Wulingyuan if you want lots of food options. It's about 35-40yuan one way on the Didi app. If we ever come back to Zhanjiajie we will definitely stay here again, it made our time here so much nicer!
