A very lovely and cozy hotel. The bed linens are fresh and soft, and the rooms are impeccably clean. Special thanks to the staff — they are the friendliest and most helpful people! We only stayed for two days, but they managed to assist me with all of my questions. I'll definitely come back for the warm atmosphere and wonderful people. The location is also very convenient — highly recommend this hotel!

Fantastic luxury boutique hotel under Leading Hotels of the World management. It’s right opposite the National Art Museum of China and has an underground station on its doorstep, along the main Wangfujing street. Really like the whole arty vibe, fantastic breakfast spread with buffet à la carte and huge super clean luxury rooms with complimentary minibar. First hotel in a long time to serve us enough drinking water without me having to request for more water! They spotted that it was my sister’s birthday without us having to tell them, surprised her with balloons and flowers! I stayed at the Peninsula before moving here and I far prefer Puxuan! Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again in my next trip to Beijing!

Facility was nice, large size room, all the kits were properly provided, nice staff, English was pretty much acceptable, but little bit of Mandarin would be helpful.

The city itself is not really special - an average bustling modern Chinese city, and there is of course the infamous pollution that is due to the coal mines and factories around. (We were lucky to catch the clean weather during the May 1st holiday though.) The Provincial Museum gives an interesting insight to Hebei's history - highly recommended. But the main attractions are around the city itself. We have visited the Cangyan mountain, a beautiful natural landscape with few people.
It's known as a polluted city, but once you get out near the mountains like cang yan Shan it's very beautiful. And further along you can see some Great Wall ruins near Shan xi province. The old town zheng di is nearby. bus 130 from the front of the hebei museum will take you there in one hour, lots of interesting pagodas there.
Horrible air quality! PM2.5 was 405, brown staggering air. People were terrific, warm and friendly. Hebei museum was excellent.
