A special shout out to the amazing and always smiling staff, in particular Ivonne and front desk personnel. The breakfast and all meals were fantastic. Best place we stayed in all of Chile to date. Located near the centre of Osorno and overlooking the city, this hotel offers accommodation with modern amenities, a gym and free WiFi access. Rooms at Sonesta Hotel Osorno feature a luxury décor. Due to airline flight reschedule, we arrived later than expected -- this was not an issue, as my reservation was still in place. Our room was very large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was outstanding, with so many choices of what to eat as well as healthy eating choices. And when I asked for "cream" for my tea, I was given the real thing, not whole milk or half-and-half -- and they remembered this every subsequent morning!!! Such a wonderful consideration! The Manager came to our (Raquel) table, introduced herself and was always present as we were coming and going for our visits with our friends. The cleaning staff was a great help, especially with the repositioning of the shower head and how to reset the thermostat. This was also followed up almost immediately from what we assumed to be the floor manager to be certain that we were comfortable. My friend and I are "mobility impaired" and it was a very, very pleasant surprise to have such close personal attention paid to our needs., even at checkout. We have never had such positive personal attention paid to us at any hotel we have stayed in the past 15+ years. And the price quoted was the actual cost for our stay -- AMAZING! Boasting a garden, terrace and views of sea, ALMA CHILOTA is situated in Castro, 18 km from Nuestra Señora de los Dolores Church. The location was magical with views of the other palafitos and across the water. The breakfast room/shared area was charming, especially with the breakfast table atop a dinghy and it was well positioned for the views. The construction of the buiding with wooden shingles, floors, walls and ceilings was charming along with the artesanal art pieces on display. There was room for two cars to park in front of the premises which is rare for the area.

Situated in Bahía Mansa, less than 1 km from Maicolpué Beach, Hostería La Casa del Mar features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. It's one of the best Hosterias i've been so far, if not the best. The owner is a very warm and friendly person. The breakfast is just marvellous. You'll get very good coffee and a lot more. The food in the evening is also very tasty. A must book!

Situated in Quellón, Hotel Mitos has a terrace, restaurant and free WiFi. Certain units at the property have a patio with a sea view. Very friendly staff always willing to help even though we were running late. Breakfast was amazing, all prepared fresh and lots of it. In general, the food available (also lunch and or dinner) was very tasty. Amazing view of the sunset from the room window.

Situated in Puerto Varas, 25 km from Pablo Fierro Museum, Parque la Pajarera features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Delicious breakfasts and dinners, (although the dinner menu was limited). Our room was spacious, clean and modern, with views onto an open garden. It was pleasant to walk around the garden and pond, and watch all the birds - domestic and wild. Our hosts were excellent. Very friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs in exploring this beautiful part of Chile.
