Appenzell and Hotel Appenzell were truly delightful. Everything felt welcoming, starting with the staff and the wonderful location. The restaurant is more than excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and cooked to order and perfection. Since we stayed for 3 or more nights, we received the Appenzell card which included not only many discounts, but free cable car/gondola rides. It was the best bargain in our 7 weeks in Switzerland. We loved this hotel and highly recommend it and the area to others.

The property is around 13 miles from Olma Messen St. A unique sleeping experience in this wooden knitted structure. The recovery factor is high, so you need one or two hours less sleep. So more time for cigars in the Schmitte :-).

Beautiful interior. The family suit was georges. Breakfast is very tasty. The location is perfect but mostly we like the stuff. The receptionist was very nice and helpful and the lady with short hair who waited for us until we arrived. Also we send lots of greetings to a very kind and nice lady with glasses who is in charge of the breakfast. If we ever visit again this area we will definitely come back
