What a place. I absolutely loved this hotel so much, we stayed here 4 times when we came to Calgary and it never ceased to impress me. This hotel deserves to be in the top list for hotels to stay. Well done Hilton. Also they are dog friendly and very very accommodating to families with little kids and weddings/ celebrations. Rooms are huge, clean and smell so refreshing. The beds are so big and comfortable. The windows are my favorite. You can see all from the inside out, but none from the outside in because of the film they have over the windows. The shower and bathroom is equipped with everything you need. My favorite was the location. Having a dog on the trip and staying here made things sooooo easy. It is right next to the river and tons of parks and coffee shops and restaurants. Our morning, afternoon and evening walks never disappointed us. Awesome experience. I was sad to leave.

Jasper has to be one of my favourite places in Alberta to visit. I love to hike and nothing is bettter than breathing in fresh Mountain air plus the scenery in and around Jasper is absolutely breathtaking. You should go!
Canmore is a great traveller's stop. Beautiful scenery within the mountains at any time of the year. Several great Inns and restaurants. Easy access to Banff park or the provincial mtn parks of Alberta. Downtown is a great evening walk-a-bout and dinner spot. Several bike and walking trails through out the area.
Very crowded mountain town with hoards of Chinese tourists. Lots of toney shopping if that's your thing, but all venues tourist stressed. Very commercialized place in an extraordinarily beautiful part of Alberta. To escape shutterbugs, hike longer trails. Most tourists walk no more one km from parking lots along Icefields Parkway.
Elkwater is a hidden gem out of the way that is worth the extra Drive (4 hours from Calgary). The small town is walkable and sits on Elkwater lake. On one side, rolling prairie; the other side a tree lined high hill that rises to the plateau. There are numerous hiking trails from easy to difficult and the view from the top of the plateau is stunning, especially looking southwest to the Sweet Grass hills in Montana. If you have a boat, you will love this place, but also great for paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. Plus they have a small beach and perfect for a hot summer day. They also have Camp restaurant, one of the best places to eat in southern Alberta. So much to do.
Cardston was homey and welcoming! The Mormon Temple there is a beautiful Cardston landmark. Re. our trip: We very much enjoyed the Kalispell area and beautiful Flathead Lake. Glacier National Park and the "Many Glaciers" area were awe-inspiring. We found Waterton Lakes in Alberta, Canada (especially the Prince of Wales Hotel) to also be a wonderful respite. Driving the Crowsnest Highway from near the Waterton area to the US border in the panhandle of Idaho (Bonners Ferry) was utterly breathtaking!
Red Deer is a quaint city in the heart of Alberta, nice parks and lots of recreational opportunities close by. Easy to get around.
It was the middle of an Alberta winter so time was spent indoors with family. There appeared to be a lot of winter activity on the lake which was frozen over- skidoo and ice fishing. Aesthetically pleasing community. Everything easily accessible
We've never stayed in Canmore always in banff but we will definitely stay in Canmore the next time we return to Alberta!!! Everything is nearby!!! Grocery stores, supply stores, restaurants!!!! A beautiful little town!!!!easy to get around!!! Has an amazing recreation Centre!!!!
Banff is beautiful! Full of tourists which can be a bit much. Lovely sights, best skiing in Alberta, great food and friendly staff everywhere you go!
Waterton Park is one of the best places to visit in Alberta. The hiking, boat tour and townsite are fabulous. The views and wildlife are spectacular. We always enjoy great food no matter where you choose to eat. We will return year after year.
The Crimson Jasper is centrally located in the village of Jasper, Alberta where it is close to all the amenities a tourist will require. It contains a licensed restaurant which is very expensive and we declined to eat there after reviewing the dinner meal prices. Within a 7 minute walk from the hotel, we discovered several affordable restaurants and later on watched the NHL Stanley Cup hockey playoffs in the Jasper Brewing Company establishment with a few craft beers. Great atmosphere and would highly recommend it for the thirsty pallet.
Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Spacious and clean rooms. We traveled with 2 kids (4 and 9 years old) and had no issues with anything. A well-kept pool with a spiraling slide will help you keep your kids busy on a rainy day. The hotel is just under 30 minutes away from the Dinosaur Provincial Park or Lake Newell, where you can actually swim. We also visited the Alberta Birds of Prey Centre near Lethbridge, having decided that a 90-minute drive is better than staying there. That trip was a blast!
Me and my husband stayed at Ramada for a night during our week long tour of Alberta. We didnt know what to expect but we were amazingly surprised by our experience. The breakfast was exceptional. Staff were warm and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Mini-fridge and microwave were a bonus. The location was ideal as its right on the highway between Edmonton and Jasper. A great place to stay for anyone travelling to Jasper. . It was great value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Okotoks
This hotel is the only hotel I have stayed at for the past 7 years -- I recommend it to everyone who has to do the same travel path that I do. Each person I have referred to has come back to say they also are very pleased with this place. I come from West Kootenay in BC, and my children live in Edmonton, So I find the trip from my home to Alberta, too long of a drive, and so I always break it up by getting to Okotoks, staying at the hotel, and then driving the next day
Hinton
Pines Motel is amazing! We didn't realize there is a timezone difference between B.C and Alberta. As such, we were going to arrive one hour late to check-in. After we called, the owner stayed late to check us in and was super friendly. The room was very clean. It was cleaner than the chain hotels I usually stay at. Driving into Jasper, I got to see the amazing view everyday. I highly recommend Pines motel for the friendly and exceptional staff and cleanliness.
Very friendly staff. They kindly answered each question thoroughly despite I had numerous (such as traffic rules of Alberta) The room was so clean and the bed was very cozy. And the air-conditioning system was easy to control. The location has everything near the hotel. Walmart, Sobey's Liquor, Dollar Tree, cafes and restaurants etc in walking distance. The gym quality was very good. Every equipments were clean and nothing was rusty.
Every staff member we encountered were all so friendly and focused on the guests. From the front desk staff to the cleaning staff everyone was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the pool area with hot tub and waterslide, which is especially nice after a hot day exploring Southern Alberta. The hotel is easy to find with your car, has lots of parking, and it's quick to get on the road South if you are heading that way.
The Crossing is perfectly situated within the Rocky Mountains and makes for a great stopping point for people travelling between Banff and Jasper, or for those heading out of the Rockies and further into Alberta. The hotel had everything we needed, and featured a couple of dining options on site, as well as a convenience store with souvenirs, snacks, ice cream and other basic necessities.
I've personally stayed at this hotel since 2006 when traveling through High Level, Alberta and will continue to book this hotel for brief travel. The hotel is located right next door to a Boston Pizza restaurant which is very convenient to tourists traveling through.
Warner
This renovated church is really really impressive and charming. My room was great. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious! Plus, I had a great time chatting with Dan and Pam, who shared very interesting facts about Alberta and Canada with me. Absolutely recommended!
Excellent place to stay for families! Our room had everything we needed. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, all the cookware and utensils! A second bedroom for the kids. A grill downstairs to grill some Alberta beef. Clean place and great communication from hotel staff.
Brewster Mountain Lodge in Banff, Alberta, is a charming hotel that perfectly blends rustic mountain ambiance with modern comforts. Its location in the heart of Banff offers easy access to shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities.
Canmore
The location in Canmore, Alberta was a decent drive from Banff, but I booked too late to secure anything else. The hotel was okay with no frills though. We did have a small fridge and microwave. Parking was “free”… all in the cost.
There was an unusual charge on the room called a VAT which is an european term for Value added tax. I know that Alberta does not have that although they do have a hotel tax so very confusing on how the hotel was doing this.
The perfect place to stay for a night on our way to southern Alberta. So nice to have a place tp to eat in the hotel and a delicious complimentary breakfast. The price was great. Will stay there again for sure.
The breakfast was fantastic!! Also, during our second day, we went to hangout with our friends in Alberta and when we came back ti the hotel, our rooms are fixed as well as the towels were replaced with new ones.
The room was priced for good value, good enough for a one night and gone use. Strip malls with all the amenities are fairly close within a kilometer or so, with the location being in the Alberta far end of town.
First we loved southern Alberta the hotel was so nice we decided to stay another night. We were very comfortable and liked the hot tub.
The best breakfast we ever had at any of hotels in Alberta. Nice and clean environment
Location is close to Alberta North Campus Clean and prompt service Friendly hotel
