I absolutely loved the attention to details in the room. Modern yet traditional. The bed and pillows were comfy and you had the option to change the pillows if they were too soft or hard. I loved that the W.C was separate from the shower and the towels were actually in a cabinet under the sink. Every detail in regards to accommodation was there, for example if you forgot your phone charger the front desk had you covered. Room service 24/7. The wait staff at the Bistro Richard were all so friendly and attentive. The bar tender in the lounge...and the lounge itself...the decor...fantastic and uplifting .

We have been to this nice city on numerous occasions. We like to shop the antic markets that they have there on the weekends. We also like the food and the people. There is something for everyone if not in the city then in the local area. History is in abundance here. Do take in the main church and the museum. There a a few really good restaurants in the main part of town and of course the Belgian beer is outstanding. But, the people make the trip worthwhile. That is the real reason we keep going back. The Limburg region has a lot of hiking trails also if you want to do do some scenic walking. You are also close to Maastricht which is about 17KMs away and would make a nice day trip from Tongeren. Stay at the Caelus Hotel in Tongeren. It's the best. The host is great.
The Jenever museum, the Japanese garden in spring, the fashion museum, just strolling through town and see the nice buildings and shops. Fantastic places to eat all over Hasselt. It is a small but very quaint town. Hasselt is also the capital of the Province of Belgian Limburg. The best way to see Hasselt is on foot and there is a little tourist train that will take you around to the Japanese garden and the little harbor of the Albert Canal! Have fun

I enjoyed my one night stay at Hotel Limburgia! I felt very welcome by the owners from the moment I checked in, during the delicious breakfast, and when I checked out. The bed was comfortable, good shower, and a nice view from the balcony. I didn't have a car and traveled by bus. The bus stop is conveniently around the corner (you can see the hotel from the stop) and takes about 30 minutes to get to Maastricht. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a place outside of the city center of Maastricht.

Our trip was perfect. First time staying in Limburg. And wow, we will certainly go back! Super friendly hosts! we received a very warm welcome, they gave us nice tips and tricks about what to do in the region and nice places to eat/ go. the breakfast was just excellent! It is all fresh and prepared à la minute. Our room and hotel were very clean. Hotel is well situated, in the middle and close to all sightseeing activities. we can only recommend! A comete two bedroom apartment in a working chateau complex on a thousand year-old site at the edge of an idyllic Limburg Forest..surrounded by living nature, permaculture and peacefulness. Doesn't get more authentic than this. A step back in time...for those who appreciate history, nature, and castles.. Not showy or for those who lust for luxuries.

I have been travelling to the Province of Limburg Belgiums since 1977 and have worked in Benelux so know the area very well. The people in this region cannot do enough for you to enjoy your stay either on business or on holiday that is why I keep coming back.
Everything was perfect: location, staff, decoration, comfortable bed, coffee machine in the room and cleanliness
We travelled for work and booked a large room as we had suitcases and needed space to re organise. I’d say the room was bigger than expected. Staff was very helpful and made the stay so much better than a usual hotel stay. Location was great for our needs and I’d happily stay here again.

The hotel located closed with village and with wonderful view of greenfield, very quiet and with fresh air. Facilities are pretty new. Cuisine are fantastic.
Original boat location, with clean, cosy bunks with their own nice little bathroom with instantly warm water. Nice breakfast /dinner place (not included in base price). Very nice hostess and friendly dog (that doesn't seem to bark!)
