Der Burgblick-Adults Only in Werfen is located 2 km from Eisriesenwelt Werfen. It offers great views of Hohenwerfen Castle, which is just 500 metres away. For our purpose, a visit to the ice cave and then back on the road, it was excellent. It has its own parking and was really uncomplicated to get back to the highway. From what I gathered it is a family legacy hotel, but a new and modern one and with everything you’d need. We did not have time to also visit the castle, but you can see it from the balcony 24/7, so the view is gorgeous. Owner was very nice and breakfast was good. Really a lot of thought and effort so that you get best value for money, which I’m sure it’s through hard work and dedication. Also a plus you get breakfast from 6AM in a lovely downstairs restaurant. The essentials, plus fruit, plus good coffee.
