Situated just 28 km from Volubilis, Riad Palais Marouane features accommodation in Meknès with access to a bar, a shared lounge, as well as full-day security. I knew that Meknes was under construction. I had a long day and did not want to just pass Meknes by. I am so glad I booked this Riad. It has been meticulously refurbished. The wood work was beautiful. The clear glass ceiling. The rooms spotless. The bathroom spacious. Air condition worked well. The wifi worked well. I liked the location quiet.I was lucky and had the whole place to myself. The owner said I could pick the big room on the ground floor but I liked the room I chose on second floor. I felt very welcome. I loved the pet turtle roaming the grounds.I was traveling by myself. The owner does speaks limited English. His native language is French. We used my ipad to communicate. We had very good dinner conversation with it for about an hour. I could walk to the music museum in about 15 minutes 20 tops because of trying to cross the traffic. Mausoleum of Mouley Ismail is free and about a 7 minute walk.The owner even in the morning helped me get a cab to get me to the train station to get to my next destination. He waited till one showed up. Really so kind of him. Featuring city views, Riad Shama Fes features accommodation with patio, around 2.4 km from Royal Palace Fes. There is a private entrance at the riad for the convenience of those who stay. Amazing location and such a cute place. Decor was lovely. Room was small but very nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious and included an egg. The real highlight was the staff. So helpful and friendly. The Riad is just around the corner from place Batha and blue gate where all our tours seemed to leave. Area felt very safe. I highly recommend this place where guests are welcomed and treated with kindness. Wifi worked better than any place I stayed in Morocco which was nice.

Boasting mountain views, Riad AlKATIB Meknès offers accommodation with patio, around 30 km from Volubilis. Our plan was to visit Volubilis and Moulay Idriss from Meknes and it was a very last minute decision to stay overnight in this city. Although we booked very last minute, upon arrival we were kindly welcomed and the staff helped us arrange a private driver to visit Volubilis and Moulay Idriss immediately. They were also very kind to accommodate to our early morning departure and made breakfast for us. Very much appreciate their hospitality!

Boasting inner courtyard views, Riad Zidania offers accommodation with patio, around 28 km from Volubilis. Exceptional standard of decor and presentation with very lovely staff, great food (best Tagine we had in Morocco) and comfortable. Would certainly stay here again.
