Lovely place, great position, free parking, wonderful staff who were extremely accommodating. The meal was EXCEPTIONAL. Amazing scotch egg starter, and the best rack of lamb for over forty years. The perfect overnight stay. Highly recommended.

Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and private parking is available on site.... main street was right on the door step. easy access to everything we needed. it was baby friendly- there was a microwave, fridge and a back room to store the buggy instead of it cluttering up the house. when we arrived there was fresh milk, tea and coffee which was lovely after our long journey! it was so warm!!! smart tv- baby was very happy watching cocomelon after a long day!

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated The Pickled Pheasant provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. This 5-star bed and breakfast offers a housekeeping service. Recently renovated, the room was spacious and one of the nicest accommodations we stayed at in our 3 week tour of England & Scotland. However the price was very affordable, in line with places that were much less spacious and with fewer amenities and lesser quality. The Pickled Pheasant was conveniently located just outside the Peak District, a short drive to the Dales. Easily accessed off a main thoroughfare, but very quiet and peaceful. The room featured a true king size bed, large walk-in shower, window seating, desk seating, an armoire, and (rare for much of the country) washcloths in addition to hand and bath towels. We opened the large windows in the morning and enjoyed the beautiful sound of (nearby but not loud) church bells There is a pub and breakfast dining area on the main level. WE only stayed one night so were not able to take advantage of the walking guide that was provided with specially designed hikes beginning at the lodging. We would definitely choose to stay at the PIckled Pheasant again!

Amazing host that really went above and beyond to make everything really homely. Clean, well equipped with a great shower. My daughter and I loved it we will definitely be back to stay again.
